Yea I think they will

I am really curious what the Rangers do next now. There off-season can’t be just to resign the RFAs and bring in Jack Johnson

- TPC

I mean Tampa has not done one single thing to help their ridiculous cap problems, the Tyler Johnson thing failed

I think the same, I think theyre bringing up Kravtsov and wont have room for Fast.

However, I think 2m Jesper is a great deal, bummed he couldnt stay.

- aecliptic

Not for nothing, but Kravtsov has not played 1 minute in the NHL, and doesn’t play the same game Fast does. We don’t know if he’ll even make the roster. Quickie was a very valuable player for the club, not bringing him back for THOSE numbers is a mistake.

Yea I need to see the rest of the offseason before I get to critical. They have to have some moves in the works.

Thats the key. And there was a poop ton we didn't see. There was a reason the players voted and loved him.

Who is left that plays his type of game?

Absolutely. I understood yesterday’s depth signings, and even get the Johnson project.
But, I’m a little concerned.

Letting him walk won’t break our team but I can’t figure out a justification for it

I think it's what they expect from Gauthier

but if Panarin plays 1st line left wing

Lafreniere 2nd line left wing

what do they do with Kreider? make him a 6.5 million 3rd liner, or does he or one of those two move to RW

and what about Chytil? is he a center or RW

I have gone over this and over this, I just didnt see any room for Fast anymore

For two million I would have had him on the 4th line and move around as necessary

Now that I think about it more it’s possible he expressed his desire to not be only a 4th liner/pk guy and there really isn’t a place for him anywhere else anymore

Yeah.

I just think he would have been a 1st PK unit, plus he could solidify a good 4th line depending on other pieces and he could easily move up for injuries, I understand if he priced himself out, but man I think the Canes got a deal.

I dont think it's a money thing, I just think the Rangers made a decision to move on and give the opportunity to younger options

Probably. Oh well. Nothing I could do about it. Carolina players and coaches are going to love him

Skjei is going to have to apologize to him though

Gauthier if given a full shot could be a 1st line RW.

The question on the right side is who is Kakko, who is Kravstov, and is Buch going to become harder to play against. To me, Buch and Kratsov May be the same player, only need one.

Chytil is a center, even if for the 3rd line.

Ask me, I’d rather have Fast than Strome, he’s replaceable.

Any word on if they’re planning on bringing over Lauri Paujunemi this season? Seems like a similar player with way more offense

This could be it, because if Kreider decides to move to RW to play with LAF and Zib, then theres def no space for Fast.

Does this mean Buch is now a 3rd liner?

Honestly probably where he is best suited. 2nd/3rd line

Probably Kreider, his game would be least affected by the change.

He’s fine on the wing of a dynamic center like zib. Probably will do jack squat on a much less skilled 3rd line
