but is one of Kreider, Lafreniere or Panarin moving to right wing? - jimbro83
Probably Kreids, If I remember correctly they moved him a couple seasons back for some reason |

Probably Kreider, his game would be least affected by the change. - aecliptic
so that's another RW
how many RW's do people think play in one game anyway? |

He’s fine on the wing of a dynamic center like zib. Probably will do jack squat on a much less skilled 3rd line - picklerick
Problem is Zib should have a much better winger. I would not be upset if Buch was dealt |

I think it's what they expect from Gauthier
but if Panarin plays 1st line left wing
Lafreniere 2nd line left wing
what do they do with Kreider? make him a 6.5 million 3rd liner, or does he or one of those two move to RW
and what about Chytil? is he a center or RW
I have gone over this and over this, I just didnt see any room for Fast anymore - jimbro83
Kreider will play PP and PK, and 3rd line minutes vs 1st/2nf line minutes isn't much of a difference. |

Zib will be playing with LAF, kids a stud and Kreider will be that north-south player who creates a nuisance in front of the net. |

I think the hope has gotta be eventually the top 6 will include Kakko and Kravstov on the RW, otherwise, why did we draft them 2nd and 9th overall? |

Agreed. More of a comment on how I perceive buch to be dependent upon others to generate offense. But I love that magnet obsessed goofball and he would be missed |

Yup. Buch is the odd man out |

If you move Panarin, you disrupt his game, way more effective on the off wing.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to move the kid to the off wing in his 1st blush in the NHL, with all he’s going to have to deal with.
If they knew they would land Laf, I doubt Krieder is signed. Not to mention the flat cap. So, if Krieder is a 6 million dollar 3rd line wing that’s what he is. Besides, he’ll get plenty of PP time.

I think Gauthier is your 4th line RW wing for now and one of the primary penalty killers

For this season krieder could play RW and I don’t think he’d skip a beat |

right, but Kreider is signed, and they cant do anything about it
so one of the reasons there is no room anymore for Fast |

Didn't realize Williams retired, this makes it even more of a no brainer for Carolina to sign Fast |

Ok, so they move Krieder to the RW, If he has the hands to handle it, especially in his own end, what to do with Kakko, Buch and Kratsov?

exactly, lol
what I have been trying to say, there are too many players here to sign Fast for 3 years

Lol. What I’m saying is I would have kept Fast for his spot on the 3rd line and PK.
It makes no sense to stick a goal scoring 1st round good skating RW Guthier to the 4th line to grind. It’s a waste of his talent.
You want to give Kakko more time? He can play 2nd line RW or 3rd if he struggles.
You package Buch with another asset and bring in a legit 2nd center.
The guy there was no room for is Strome. |

Hasn’t shown me anything yet, my sense he’s another overly sensitive Russian, who is used to being king of the hill, won’t happen in the NHL. If he makes the team, let him play 4th line minutes until they see what he is. |

Listen, it’s moot. Fast is gone, and you’re right, the team won’t fold cause he’s gone. Let’s see how the remainder of the offseason plays out. |
