I don't want to be mean, but Jack Johnson = Marc Staal with 2 good eyes. We don't need that on our roster!
- TommyGTrain

This isn't a shot directed at you, but I know there were a bunch of Ranger fans who wanted Staal on the team for his veteran presence. If we can get Johnson for a fraction of Staal's cap hit, why is this a bad thing? No one is going to say that he is great or anything like that, but if we don't want to rush K'Andre, somebody has to eat those minutes. I'm not doing backflips if we sign him, but if his cap hit is low I don't hate the move.

is jack johnson the one w/ the scumbag parents who robbed him?
- NYRangers1124

Yes.

There's a YouTube video documenting what they did. Absolutely incredible how people could do that to their son. They bought a beach house in Cali with his money and then signed a 50 year lease agreement that allowed them to live in the house for nothing.

We are paying Trouba $8 mill/year to be our "veteran presence".

He has over 500 NHL games played, he is certainly a veteran presence by now for the REAL young kids.

2016 might be sort of saved with Tarmo. I sort of forgive them for 2016 from the lack of picks. They needed to nail 2015 once they made that trade, and Gropp being a bust and an uninspiring draft class was just inexcusable.

Pretty much everything surrounding that draft the team did was the wrong move.
