I'm not sure where they're getting it from/if it factor in Luongo and whatnot, but it does say that number:

UPPER LIMIT –––––––––––––––––––– $81,500,000–––––––$81,500,000

Yes, coming off a serious injury. I expect a bounce back season - CanuckDon
Ferland as much as it is unlikely might recover too. He potentially could be top 6 winger which solves some problems. I also think Myers has more to give. On the other hand I doubt Miller and Hughes are as dominant.

Horvat levels up as usual - belcherbd
FerlanM is done. What was that, four concussions in a year? Done.
Myers isn’t getting any better. He’s a defensive liability. Maybe a bit more points but some things can’t be taught. The Panic dumps will continue to be like spring break in Mexico.

Ferland is really going to be a piss off is he says he's healthy to play, comes back, and gets injured for the year 2 games in.
Waste of cap space in the offseason to have him play a couple shifts.
We all know it's likely to happen – for his health he should really just LTIR and move into an office job.

Myers is our number 2 defensemen for at least the next two years.... enjoy...

I don't disagree, but it would help the nucks potentially and is possible he returns to form. I'm not sure Myers helps more defensively (neem) but wouldn't be surprised to see him do put up more points.

I'd love for Ferland to be healthy. He'd slot right into the top 6 void. I just don't see him staying healthy, unfortunately

A real conundrum guessing on Ferlands health. If can stay healthy all good if a constant yo yo onto LTIR a real roster nuisance.
I’m fine with Myers & expect him to adjust in his 2nd year here.
