I was super impressed with Schmidt in the playoffs. Canucks got zero forecheck going when he was on the ice... super efficient at getting the puck and moving it up ice. I honestly like him at his cap hit more than AP. Just complete all-round stud. Can't believe it only cost a 3rd round pick.

I think you got the insurance thing backwards. For how it works would leave the Canucks on the hook paying guaranteed contract for injured player with no loss of services insurance coverage.

So reason Ferland's probably not on LTIR now, as he could be placed, is because Canucks are waiting for new season to do it on regular insurance coverage. The regular coverage didn't apply the bubble restart as far as the lack of insurance rumor goes.

I agree with you, it's far from exclusive to this fanbase. I've seen in with the other teams I like. Eagles and Raptors fans are the same way, there's a group that is dramatic, impatient and overreacts. There's the "the team can do no wrong" groups as well and then there's the middle ground people. It's the same everywhere.

Some live for their narratives and drama. Its okay. It makes fleshing out reason more of a challenge and you can learn something along the way as well. I think we all can gain from taking in different perspectives.

Most probably have varied sides in how they want to react to what we want to see the Canucks doing. For example, losing a liked UFA in TT you can say f@ck that sucks and stay there or take a second and try to see why it makes sense and bang you get Nate in a steal of a trade.

Its good to see when things fall into place then most recognize that and approve before going back to their positions.

Wow...Nate Schmidt for a 3rd is an absolute steal. It’s Gillis acquires Ehrhoff for nothing good

Schmidt can shoot and skate as well as eat minutes. Hopefully no more 20 game suspensions for substance abuse though
