A little early to hope they both are immediate impacts. If they play significant minutes & hold their own that’s a good start. The D is where it all begins. Get hemmed in less & more mobility will mean more offence.

Im with codes, highly unlikely they play myers/hughes together imo. Edler makes much more sense with myers given myers inabilities in his own end. Schmidt/hughes makes much more sense imo.

He’s done til he can actually play for any stretch of significance which has shown to be very unlikely. He either makes a Masterton type come back or should hang em up for quality of life reasons.

Im suprised Pearson is never brought up in the media for a trade. Then again could probably sign the good Granlund for cheaper

Until top 6 LW prospects push him out he stays. That isn’t the case yet but by the TDL stranger things have happened. I don’t foresee JB moving a solid player like him while he & Bo still play well together.

I'd like to see another trade for a young RFA D. If possible.

Regarding the remaining cap availability; IMac said this:

I think that JBs shown that he’s now willing to play hardball so I expect something will happen with LE other than him riding out his contract in the Canuck press box. And I do think Ferland is done. No way he comes back and plays a full season again. So hopefully there’s a bit more wiggle room than $2M. We shall see.
