But why have guys like that take any playing experience away from younger guys in Rockford. Makes no sense to me and it is beginning to look like Bowman is just flailing around.

Niemi, Buff and Ladd were all Cap Casualties. Ladd and Buff were traded in deal that looked like the one LVK just got for Stastny.

Brouwer didn't go til after the '12 season. Bickell was essentially his replacement. Bickell had more than one good playoff run, btw. He was one of their better forwards in the PHX series in '12 and he followed up a good run in '13 with one in '14.

Did Bickell seem unengaged on a number of nights during the regular season? Sure but the talent was there. If you could transplant Shaw's psyche into Bickell's body, that make a pretty good hockey player, I think.

I think you missed the point regarding players being let go/traded call it whatever you prefer but stan knew he's up against a hard salary cap , and he chose to make personal decisions.

Bickell wasn't a 4 million dollar player that chicago could afford to keep no matter how you feel whether he could have been or not a good player

Seabrook, as well he was I think 31 or 32 at that time you could argue his salary was reasonablein comparison but the big Picture thinking is he would be on the decline soon and 8 years locked in with a nmc was the icing on the cake.

If bickell isn't signed we never lose tevo and we aren't immediately struggling with the salary cap.

He was drafted by Carolina . One of the pieces that went to Florida in the Trochek deal. Panthers did not qualify him. 25 years old, center. Had 28 points with CAR one year.

Yes and may have moved back to defense at the end but Mikita, Mohns and Wharram were the Scooters I had a 1967-8 Blackhawks pennant on my bedroom door.

Scored 20 goals as a defenseman with Boston when that was unheard of. Had a wicked snap shot.

One of the first to permanently wear a helmet. My father used to say that was to keep his toupee on.
