Because its Canada, he's Canadian, its one of the top hockey markets in the world and one of the best cities in the world with all sorts of things to do young or old. Also the state of the world and being in your own Country, one that has done a half decent job with at least containing Covid, might be factor as well...although there is some spiking going on again.

Thats true! (i think, im not fact checking you, because it's really not important)
But in the case of a virus, basically solely transmitted though close h2h contact. Having a population density of CAN 4 ppl/ sqkm vs USA 36 ppl/ sqkm, an argument could easily be made that it would be 9 times harder to contain the virus in the united states. - joecool2931
I agree with that. The places that have done the worst in Canada are densely populated. I live on a massive island in the Atlantic Ocean (156453.22 square miles) with only a population of approx 500k spread across it and we've been doing great.

I think Toffoli can see the potential of the young team, plus who knows how they wined and dined him. Side note read a few rumors that Pens did contact a bunch of players and agents going into free agency. They tried hard for Craig Smith from what the rumors are saying. I believe it may be true that the Pens really aren't an appealing destination for free agents. Maybe it's the media? Maybe it's the way our staff approaches free agents or tries to sell the team? Something doesn't make sense that we have to trade for all of our players instead of being able to be a contender to sign good players. - 123Kid
I used to work with a guy that grew up with the Malone family and played hockey with Ryan when they were kids. I can’t remember the specifics as I haven’t worked with him in about 5 years but he always used to tell me how Malone hated playing in Pittsburgh and no one wants to play there. I always dismissed it as I know he was a big Ottawa fan so he is probably sad in general when it comes to hockey talk but he also specifically hated Crosby. |

I mean, factoring in population density, across the entire countries, i wouldn't say Canada has done any better of a job containing Covid. - joecool2931
Covid has a 99.5% chance of survival in anyone under 70. And a 95.9% in over 70.
poops not that bad.
The Dems media has blown this thing out of proportion to rig the election with mail in voting (which is sad because I don’t even think they need it considering Trump is a retard).
They destroyed the economy while they were at it, which actually plays to their goal of having people suck the tit of the government.
If you’re fat and you have co-morbitities, stay the (frank) away from people. It’s really that simple. |

It really isnt THAT bad. The worst thing about my part of Canada regarding Covid is we have by far the oldest age demographic and maybe the most lacking health care system of all the provinces. I'd wager a lot of money we may have the unhealthiest population too. |

Yeah and those are the people most at risk. Old or unhealthy and if you’re both... best get your bubble ready. But honestly though, using lockdowns as a means to eradicate or subdue this thing could be the biggest blunder in American history (can’t opine on Canada), small businesses are completely (frank)ed. Big business are prospering because they’re the only things open, which is actually comical since democrats always claim to be the party of the people but lockdown measures (mostly democratic cities) are destroying the small businesses. I work for a small business and they are livid about that poop. The reckoning of the economy is going to have a worse/longer impact than a virus with a 99% survival rate. |

Lol, this is gonna start a new blog real soon. Some people don't like facts and can't fathom the cognitive dissonance that they have. Anyways, When are the Pens trading all the bad players for great players making pennies?

Honestly I think if Trump didn’t tweet and didn’t say the first thing that comes to his mind all the (frank)ing time, he wouldn’t be that bad. Sometime he’s an insufferable (frank), but I don’t really disagree with a lot of his policy. Judging based on policy I’m cool with him but I think he’s a dog poop figure head for America. |

He is full blown, if he wasnt this election probably wouldnt even be close. I dont have a horse in this race but he carries himself publicly horribly haha, I cant even see how that can be debated. Having said all of that I'm not privy to his legislation and policy work but I'm sure he's done a lot of good for a chunk of the population too...though a lot of medias wont tell us that. A lot of media wont say bad things about him either... |

With Granlund, Dadanov, Duclair, and Hoffman still on the market.... presumably their price is dropping.
What does their price need to drop to for the Pens to make it work? Any chance these guys get into the $3M range?
We could trade some non-essential player if needed to make space, no? |

I’d think Granlund for sure goes under 3. Dadonov will be around that price. Hoffman will be 6ish. Those are my guesses

I would love to snag any one of them and yes, trade to make space. Current cap space is 2.5 mill I believe.

I could see all but Hoffman signing for $3 mil or below if they remain unsigned, and would hope that JR strongly considers making a move for one if that’s the case.
If he could unload someone like Sceviour it would go a long wait towards that goal, but he might have to sweeten the pot to move him. |

No way Dadonov goes for $3M or less. JMO. I could see Granlund taking less though. Hopefully he signs with us.
As for Mark Jankowski, here's a good article about him:

Sceviour would be my candidate too. With him only at 1.2 cap hit and not signed beyond next season Pens might not have to sweeten it too much.

...no Toews haha...rightfully so.
Hard one to pick, really. Look at the honorable mentions haha

I don't like that Bergeron and MacKinnon were left off. I'd have both ahead of Stamkos, and I can be talked into replacing McDavid with them as well due to games played. Obviously McDavid deserves to be there off skill alone despite the games played factor. I guess it depends what we're weighing, but definitely over Stamkos for both of them.
Gio should be in on defense. I'd replace Doughty.
Wingers are probably right.
I don't care about the goalies. Everyone's had up and down years. It just depends what you prefer, and Price and Rask have been as consistent as anyone. Arguments could certainly be made for Rinne and Holtby. |

On Ben Shapiro's Sunday Special, he interviewed Piers Morgan (like 3 years ago), who obviously i am not a fan of, because of his views on the 2nd Amandment, but he said something pretty hilarious about Trump. Apparently they are pretty good friends, because Morgan won the celeb. apprentice...Trump told Piers, one of his favorite things to do, is go to his "office/den" with tv's of every news station, "reporting" on whatever. Then pick up his phone, and send out one tweet and watch them all change.
The point of the story was that, in a moments notice, trump could control/distract/change the libcucks media narrative, with a single tweet. And he knows it.
And it's my specualtion that Morgan meant, don't be so naive to just dismiss his dump tweets as just simple dumb tweets. Maybe they are sometimes, but maybe Trump knows that he can make the media look stupid for incessantly obsessing over a tweet rather than their racist narrative of the day. |
