On Ben Shapiro's Sunday Special, he interviewed Piers Morgan (like 3 years ago), who obviously i am not a fan of, because of his views on the 2nd Amandment, but he said something pretty hilarious about Trump. Apparently they are pretty good friends, because Morgan won the celeb. apprentice...Trump told Piers, one of his favorite things to do, is go to his "office/den" with tv's of every news station, "reporting" on whatever. Then pick up his phone, and send out one tweet and watch them all change.
The point of the story was that, in a moments notice, trump could control/distract/change the libcucks media narrative, with a single tweet. And he knows it.
And it's my specualtion that Morgan meant, don't be so naive to just dismiss his dump tweets as just simple dumb tweets. Maybe they are sometimes, but maybe Trump knows that he can make the media look stupid for incessantly obsessing over a tweet rather than their racist narrative of the day. - joecool2931
Oh, let me clarify I don’t think Trump is dumb by any means. You don’t become president if you’re dumb. I do think he’s done good things for this country that get overshadowed by his pompous sea-saw personality.
Don’t get me wrong, the media is a joke. All of them; Fox News included (except Tucker. He’s legit.) Trump completely broke the media. But more often than not I think that his pompous personality tends to turn people that are in the fence about him away. He’s got his supporters that have their heels dug in. And he’s got his retractors that are the same but the people in the middle I think really get turned off by the way he speaks/tweets. |

I don't like that Bergeron and MacKinnon were left off. I'd have both ahead of Stamkos, and I can be talked into replacing McDavid with them as well due to games played. Obviously McDavid deserves to be there off skill alone despite the games played factor. I guess it depends what we're weighing, but definitely over Stamkos for both of them.
Gio should be in on defense. I'd replace Doughty.
Wingers are probably right.
I don't care about the goalies. Everyone's had up and down years. It just depends what you prefer, and Price and Rask have been as consistent as anyone. Arguments could certainly be made for Rinne and Holtby. - Victoro311
Tanger should probably be on there for D as well. I mean, any stats covered over the Decade, hell be pretty close to the top.

Trumps been quoted just before he speaks "Watch, I'm going to change the news cycle"
It's why he tells ridiculous white lies all the time, and the liberal media takes the bait
He'll say something like "I didn't do that, or I didn't say that" when there is clear evidence (usually video) that he did and the media will obsess over it for days
And he does it on purpose. It's kind of brilliant actually

Solid night life? compared to what? like what are the cool things to do? The weather stinks, the roads are horrible due to the drastically changing weather. Literally, the only thing Pittsburgh has going for it, is being a world leader in the health industry, which is important, but not for most people, especially professional athletess. The only thing that i can think of that i have done that makes pittsburgh stand out, is riding the gateway clipper to a Steelers game, and consistently go to Pirates games for $5. - joecool2931
There's a street in Southside, Carson street that goes all the way from 10th st to 30th something street that has a variety of different bars (dive, hooka, cigar) clubs, restaurants and concert venues. I lived down there in my prime single years with 2 of my friends, all 4 cup runs, Superbowl runs. We had a (frank)ing blast.
Took Tequila shots at the dive bar named Jack's before walking over the bridge to go to Pens games. Miss those days lol |

I believe Southside has gone downhill now with all the addition of breweries and Lawrenceville blew up and people love going there. So it's not quite the same now. |

With Granlund, Dadanov, Duclair, and Hoffman still on the market.... presumably their price is dropping.
What does their price need to drop to for the Pens to make it work? Any chance these guys get into the $3M range?
We could trade some non-essential player if needed to make space, no? - YouMeAndDupuis9
We could go about 3M on a player without running into cap trouble. That's on a 23 man roster. I personally don't like going below that because that's how you end up playing 5 defensemen like we did in 2015. |

When he speaks to the United Nations or does the State of the Union addresses is when you see the real poised Trump. Youre right, I can't stand when the guy does his dumb impersonations or does his antics like in the debate. If he'd just stay away from trying to amp up "his base" then he would be solid imo. |

Yea, i mean i work on the North Shore, beside the Warhol Museum. I know Pittsburgh well enough. I like Marios on carsons and the tequila cowboy on the north shore, but they are nothing that every single other city doesn't have.
would rather go to the firehall pay 5 dollars for a bud and a shot of fireball and play free pool on a 9ft table.
Pittsburgh just doesn't stand out in any capacity.

you're right, but the theory behind that was to get Biden excited and to answer his questions, and not the scripted wallace questions.

Well like I said ,it's middle of the pack. I never said it was the best, but it's definitely not the worst. And I'd be right there with you playing pool. That was our favorite thing to do. Dive bars and pool and then if we felt like chasing some tail we hit up the other places. I forgot to mention that the North Shore was nowhere near what it is now as well. |

I don't think I'd go to war for Letang as a top 6 D man of the decade. He's underrated and top 10 for sure, but he missed too much time at his peak of play. Pretty much every season that he had a shot at the Norris got cut short with some major injury or another. If Letang had had a healthy career, I'd bet he'd be up there. Peak Letang was so damn good and a two way force. |

When i frequented my local German Club, which was like 10 dollars a year to be a member, they had 2 9ft tables, 1.75 24 oz Stoneys on tap (old local brewery), and free jukebox on fridays, bands or karaoke on saturday. Its the best. Theyd always ask the young people during the week to set up like dumb ornaments for our partys, took us literally 5 minutes to do. They would be like "thank you soo much, heres 5 drink chip". (frank)ing greatest place in earth! |

I agree with Bergeron and MacKinnon over Stamkos. I think McDavid, no matter the games played (played almost half the decade), has to be there. I also agree about Gio/Doughty, though its pretty damn close to me. I think this is an example of a player being said to be better than another because of cup ring(s). |

I think Stam and Berg are close, but id put both of them in over Mackinnon. Mackinnon, has only been the superstar he is today since like 2017. |

I think Toffoli can see the potential of the young team, plus who knows how they wined and dined him. Side note read a few rumors that Pens did contact a bunch of players and agents going into free agency. They tried hard for Craig Smith from what the rumors are saying. I believe it may be true that the Pens really aren't an appealing destination for free agents. Maybe it's the media? Maybe it's the way our staff approaches free agents or tries to sell the team? Something doesn't make sense that we have to trade for all of our players instead of being able to be a contender to sign good players. - 123Kid
This is both reassuring and disturbing.
Apparently Pittsburgh, either the city and/or the organization, does stink for FAs. When you can count on one hand the number of significant FAs the Pens have signed in the last 30 years and about 1 in the last 15 years, I doubt any other team has that distinction. Probably not even close. |

I would do whatever it takes to sign Granlund. He is the only one who can play center in case Jankowski craps the bed and the others have serious defensive deficiencies.
I could also see Dadonov playing on Malkin's wing which would drop Kap down to the 3rd line. I think Hoffman will cost too much. The only way I want Duclair is if he comes in at $1-2M.
Frankly, I think we need one of these guys to be considered legit contenders. |

My ideal scenario would be dumping Sceviour for whatever, signing Granlund for ~$3M and signing Koekkoek for ~$1M.
I would then consider this a really good off-season in light of roster and cap dynamics. But, I know this won't happen. I suspect JR is done until the season starts, either by his intention or by circumstance. |

Yes we absolutely do need to sign one of those guys. I think McCann would be good as 3c as long as we add a better winger. |

I'm not buying the FA thing... In the Sid/Geno era, the Pens haven't had the cap space to sign the biggest FA's. Even moderate FA's have been too pricey. They've been digging through the bargain bin for almost the entirety of their careers.
