I heard they had a gentlemans deal and would wait until barzal and pulock signed, sorta like Lee had
I heard the same, about Martin and Greene. Not sure how they would pay either one right now. Not sure if I want to see Martin back but I definitely don't want to see him as a Ranger.

Huge Casey fan been a Martin fan as well but time to turn the page. Martin was great in the playoffs but completely invisible during the season. I don’t expect him to build off the playoffs unfortunately and it’s pretty unrealistic to think that’s going to happen imo. He’s a great guy, team player, and loves being here but his time has past. Casey last season was pretty ineffective as well. It’s the way it is with guys that play the way they do they have shorter shelf lives. Not a big secret.

I really like Casey but he cannot stay healthy. I like Matt as well and he had a nice playoff and this is the first time I remember the 4th line being able to add any offense at all during the playoffs. If Matt takes a cheap deal and Isles can get everything done it's not terrible. Isles at some point soon need to find younger and cheaper options.
I don’t disagree he’ll never get anything from Lameriello but I wouldn’t be overly surprised if Gorton or a Rangers source told him they had no interest in Martin.
