You must be fun at parties. Maybe i was wrong. You can go back to lurking

Cute assuming I can tolerate people long enough to be at a party with them.

So... this cap situation...

we are talking at least 40 years of the NHL not set up fairly up until the early 70's where the worst team wasn't given the right to draft the best prospect available

yet as fans we have to endure being trolled about 80 years with 1 Cup

I don't give a (frank) if Bettman actually put that goddamn Ranger lottery ball in the Bingo thing himself, I aint apologizing for poop

Bettman could have skated on the ice and tackled Bure on his penalty shot, and to this day I wouldn't have apologized either.

Yes, but they had Richter, so that would have been redundant

I'm not liking this suddenly somewhat competitive roster these guys are building. They could surprise some people next season.

As long as they miss the playoffs and we win more than we lose against them it should only serve to help us

Plus, they have a first and three second round picks next season to add the talent they brought in recently in the draft

Dorian has been surprisingly competent in hindsight. Obviously EK was a tremendous bullet he dodged, but Stone is starting to look at the territory we know from Richards from still really solid, but money isn't really meeting the production. I guess Hoffman is someone who has maintained a good clip, but he wasn't going to move the needle for them either way regardless.

In this saturated goalie market, that's kind of a bad contract the team handed out....

ya think? I mean, I think he would have probably gotten that in arbitration, I dont think the UFA goalie market matters much in that regard

So, Shesterkin-Georgiev in Manhattan, Huska-Kinkaid in Hartford and presumably Tyler Wall up in Maine as far as the NYR's goalie depth goes this upcoming year.

I had predicted yesterday in a tweet between $2.25 and $2.5 mil on a two-year deal. Guess I was pretty accurate.

It's possible. I mean that amount isn't going to kill us, I just thought the number would have came in the 1s.

I'm not trolling with this question: when do you think the team will bring Olaf over?

Had a feeling based on his prior salary and usage last year, he would get a substantial range. Was hoping a little less, but figured more of Hank's savings would be used for Georgiev. In essence half of the savings is going towards Georgiev's increase year over year.

Me too, think he may end up closer to $1.5-1.75 mil but hoping.

when the Rangers drafted Lundqvist, he didn't come over for 5 years

Took Shesterkin 5 years to come over too

so, I think Lindbom could come over like 2023, 2022 if we are lucky

so what do you think, Shesty gets 60% of the starts and Georgie 40%?

Just looked at his stats, he had 3 solid games so far this year. Be nice if he continued that and got the callup to the SHL.

Goalies do take a super long time to develop.

In all my arm chair GM teams I had the Rangers giving him 2.5m per, so this doesnt come as a shock to me.

I have Lemiuex signing for around 1.35-1.5m.

ADA I have at 4.85m, but I might be a bit low on that.

Sounds about right, keeps both fresh and allows Igor to be the #1
