In all my arm chair GM teams I had the Rangers giving him 2.5m per, so this doesnt come as a shock to me.

I have Lemiuex signing for around 1.35-1.5m.

ADA I have at 4.85m, but I might be a bit low on that.

Sounds right on Lemiuex, I should have said $1.25-1.5 MIL in my tweet, seems reasonable given performance.

Just looked at his stats, he had 3 solid games so far this year. Be nice if he continued that and got the callup to the SHL.

Goalies do take a super long time to develop.

this goalie they took in 4th round this year, Dylan Garand, he seems like very solid prospect too

.921 save percentage this past season in WHL

It often takes a number of trials to get their meds right.

$3.35m of cap on our two goalies. I can live with that

At the risk of being "that guy" we realistically have $8.35M of cap tied up in 3 goalies with Hank's buyout on the books. Circle back to the bonus conversation Shesty has $2.85M in bonuses that have to be accounted for so really its closer to $11.2M in goalie cap hit.

Still better than Carey Price or the Vegas tandem and it gets significantly better next year.

True but they saved part of Hank’s buyout by the contract given Georgiev, as we under $3 mil AAV

So, Shesterkin-Georgiev in Manhattan, Huska-Kinkaid in Hartford and presumably Tyler Wall up in Maine as far as the NYR's goalie depth goes this upcoming year.

- jimbro83

If it starts that way, it won't last long. Wall is miles better than Huska, who I wouldn't be surprised to see out of the org by next season.

if you figure that somehow Tony D, Strome and Lemieux will total a 12 mil cap hit, then figure we have like 4-5 million in cap space depending who makes the roster and then you have to deal with all this bonus crap

they really can't add anyone else

unless they do something with Stome

WOW, I guess it’s a good thing we landed LAF, I guess I was expecting more of a step up in the rebuild, especially in view of last years success. It appears they’re going to have tread water for this year until most of the dead cap space clears up in the off season.

You really want a youth movement?

Actually, I wanted to see an legit 2c and adding some size and grit to the bottom six. I don’t think it’s going to happen, although I have no issue trading Buch and a couple of assets to address the needs.

Most likely will be next year we see that. More cap to work with and questions answered

I am all for trading Buch and Chytil in a package for a 2C. I think the ceiling is far higher for Kravtsov.

My ideal lines for next year would look like...

LaFreniere, Zibanejad, Kakko
Panarin, 2C, Kravtsov
Kreider, Strome, Gauthier
Martin, Howden, Lemieux

I like it. Hopefully, the Ranger brass is think along the same lines. Especially, bringing Martin and the 2c.
