easy now, our Illinois poster said he is a pathetic prospect because he didn't score goals last season
kid was literally a top 10 player in that league on ppg production but stunk
of course that poster hates reinhart as well - homiedclown
did he have a trouble with his size in the AHL? isn't he short?
edit: never mind he didn't play in rochester.. |

I'm not so sure the Taylor Hall signing was so much of a "we need to upgrade at wing" move so much as "if you can get a guy that talented, you do it". - buffalofan19
Who knows if they go hard after Laine or another wing upgrade? They obviously are spending more than 70 million and staying so lean. They might be getting a little chubby.

Just curious if it's exhausting going out of the way to hate a player on the team you supposedly cheer for? My guess is not really, but I find myself wanting all of them to play well. Sam has steadily gotten better, and has an underrated defensive game. Is he a world beater? No. Is he the teams biggest problem. Hardly. But keep making these posts to "show" that he is just because Ralph had a connection (which I'm also happy he did" - SDSabre
How about the love for Risto and now Girgs because, ya know, they are Sabres and wear the blue and gold and blind loyalty and all?

$6m for 5 years or $5 for 1 year
Thats my final guess(es) - jcragcrumple
If it’s 1 year is he still a RFA? Because if he is that makes the most sense for both parties. Sabres won’t have to protect him for expansion and Reinhart can wait a year to see how the cap rebounds...
Edit: or would he still be eligible to be selected |

PSE did reach out to Del which is surprising but good at the same time - Stripes77
It’s funny how that Del guy got screwed by PSE. I mean he should’ve gone something with it. But never did. |

He'd still be an RFA. Not sure about the protection implications but doing the protection list, I was struggling to come up with 7 forwards to protect anyway, including Reinhart |

I never said Ruostolainen was a pathetic prospect but our Florida recent Sabres basher wanted him on the team ASAP and I said with the league he is playing in and size don't bank on him playing with Sabres next year. Go ahead put your lineups together and have him as your 4th line center whatever next year. New, shiny toys are fun huh? |

You have me confused with someone else. Yeah, I want all of them to succeed because they are Sabres. That's kind of the point of being a fan of the team not the player. And they all have a role to play. Risto turned it around this season after last. I already said what I'd be happy with for Girgs as a player on his new contract. Has Sam really underplayed the 3.5M contract he's been on the past two seasons? Just a question, bet you won't answer it. |

Yeah thinking about the team other than the list protects it’s pretty weird. Unless Hall is re-signed then it comes 5 and the what? Maybe Staal?
Eichel
Hall?
Skinner
Olofsson
Reinhart
Staal? |

They'd still have to protect him, as long as they make a QO. |

all because the kid went 12 games w/o a goal
he had 10 points in those 12 games though

Reinhart is not from CGY. He's from Vancouver and played for the Kootenay Ice, halfway between Van and CGY. He has no ties to CGY from what I gather. - SDSabre

I have a bigger picture for bettering the team. I see that the team has been nothing but a loser with Sam on the top line and the two years with Skinner, same. They aren't wingers you win with you need better ones for the Sabres to win. I am not loyal to players who help this team lose in the way it was made up, why would I be? Why would anyone be? Just because they wear Sabres jerseys and helped them lose? That is just plain stupid. Besides Jack, Dahlin, now Hall and probably Cozens I am not loyal to any of them if they can help build a better team.
This is like being dedicated to the players on the Bills' teams over the last two decades who never made the playoffs before the last two years like Tyrod Taylor, or Chris Kelsay. It would be mornic. |

Yeah, I've always said if we can get better players using other players (Sam) then go for it. That said, acting like he's a third liner getting drug along by Eichel is just silly. And to be completely frank here, last year was the first year that Eichel really, and I mean really shined to the point that he was starting to get noticed around the league. Getting better players should always be the goal. But you seem to want to dump Sam, unless your just saying having him on the second line which is whatever. My whole philosophy is getting the best players all to play for Buffalo that you can. For a true team to compete with the big boys. This would be adding to players like Sam and Skinner because as much as you don't like them, it's hard to argue that they aren't at least top 6 players on most NHL teams, and borderline top line players. I mean, the Skinner - Eichel - Sam line was one of the most dominant lines for a large stretch 2 years ago. |

The reason some people don't like him is that he's completely unspectacular. Conversely he's incredibly solid and well rounded with the exception of a physical game. And he's durable. Every team in the league would take Sam Reinhart on their team |

wild thought:
Sign UFA Hoffman
Trade Reinhart, Miller, Mittlestadt and Hutton to CGY for
Monahan, Hanifan, Riitich
Reinhart is from CGY and CGY seems to not be thrilled with Monahan - turbo044
Calgary would do it. |
