but how will I know if it is played on ice or not?
It's kind of like my pet peeve when in football Gruden would say "now that guy is a football player"
Thanks John, appreciate the insight. - ImThatGuy
You could eliminate 70% of sports commentary, and we would be better for it.
Quit the player interviews at the intermission. We don't need to know that they need to keep playing their game, taking it one shift at a time, and focusing on doing the little things right: chip pucks in low, put pressure on the D, wait for our chances. We already know the other team came to play - yes, they are a good team, and we have to respect them.
And FFS, get rid of the half-time interviews with football coaches as they walk to the dressing room:
"Hey coach, you are down by 28 points at the half. What do you need to do to get back in this game?"
"Well, we need to play better in all aspects. We need to find a way to move he ball. And our defence needs to be better next half - we can't keep allowing them to march down the field."
"Thanks coach." |

A couple of possible division alignments if they keep the US/Can border closed.
“‘Last week, Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley might have spilled the beans when it comes to a potential new covid-19 related twist to the upcoming 2021 season.
When questioned on KSHP Radio’s Vegas Hockey Hotline about the wisdom of trading defenseman Nate Schmidt to the division-rival Vancouver Canucks, Foley responded: “Yeah, but they’re going to be playing in the Canadian division.”‘

One scenario basically puts Buffalo & Boston in the metro division minus Carolina & Columbus. The other keeps the Metro together and puts Buffalo & Boston and the other US based Atlantic teams in with the easternmost Central division teams.

Huge advantage for New York City area-based teams. They can take a bus to most of their games.

Not great for Canadian teams, either.
But it is what it is.
I'm hoping we get a season, but I can't help but be pessimistic. |

Minny gets screwed the most there. At least with Canada division you have Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa near each other. Minny is all alone. |

if they are doing this without fans just move minne to the canadian conference and have them play in some juniors arena. Although im sure the players would be pissed about the poopty amenities so that wouldn't work |

Have them share Edmonton’s arena. But it would be unfair to Minny not being able to see their families |

What would you guys prefer for the Sabres, joining Boston in a division with the Metro teams (minus Carolina/Columbus), or playing in a division with the US based Atlantic teams plus Chicago, St. Louis, and Nashville?
I think this scenario envisions the whole season (however many games it may actually be) being played entirely within each division. |

Nice little add for the Amerks. If they play, I guess. 2 way NHL contract, so he counts towards the 50. |

I would prefer to be with DET,CHI, CLB, STL, NAS, CAR and BOS.
I think it would be an easier schedule without PIT, WAS, PHI, and NYI (plus we would still have BOS)

"I've been looking at things here for a while now, what we're going to do with the hockey department and potentially adding an experienced guy," he said. "I'd like to get to that (this week), or certainly in the near future."
Although Rutherford declined to elaborate on what he is considering, it does not appear to involve bringing back Jason Botterill, his former associate general manager who was fired as GM in Buffalo this spring.
His return is expected to happen at some point, but the Penguins have been trying to limit expenditures because of revenue losses caused by the pandemic, and Botterill's contract in Buffalo still has nearly two years remaining.

I have to give Adams props here, he's leading the league in signing AHL tweeners for 700k that no one has ever heard of.
Really putting in that work while we have key RFA's he can't manage to get under contract |
