Listening to Emrick makes me want to call the suicide hotline.

I honestly think there is a case to be made that the game took longer to pick up in the U.S due to having to listen to him, along with all of the absolutely brutal regional coverages of most U.S. based teams.

I agree, I was not a fan of Emrick's, His voice was annoying and I think he charged the wording of hockey too with his pwn use of descriptions of plays. The whole NBCSN and NBC team blows but people in Buffalo are spoiled because we grew up with HNIC which is the best with talent and production. NBC seems like a few notches below, Doc included.

They are signing these $700 grand players because there very well may not be an AHL season and there may be a B type league where they have players they carry for when the NHL players go down. KA is thinking ahead, what a thought!!
