Idk, the year Girgs played with Eichel, he only had 18 points - jcragcrumple
Oh man...
I have no problem with Boss liking guys he think are tough to play against.
Role players are important for every team
But this is funny...especially because it’s clear someone has a bias about Reinhart the person versus Reinhart the player.

If Brees won more I think he would be mentioned a lot more. |

Although I dislike tom f brady and like drew brees :
What about the important categories.
Championships
Division titles
Winning in general can be attributed to the team, but the qb is the most important position in sport. - Boss34
Yup ... that is why Brady is probly the best ever QB. I learned to respect his game years ago when I saw him play a few times in person vs the Bills.
It was like "who else can make throws like that"
The most overrated QB I have seen live in person: Lamar Jackson. The dude is a way below average passing QB. This year people finally noticed. |

Yup. Agreed
It’s why Marino doesn’t get his props like he should.
Buffalo ruled that division for so long. If the Bills had Marino they win at least two of those Super Bowls IMO |

You can tilt the argument any way you like. I know the clown would be happy to come in here and list how many ppg Reinhart collects per year. If it's in the top 93, he's a top line winger. If not, he's a top 6. I could say, the past few years, he's in the top 93, you could say overall he wasn't, which includes his age 18, 19 and 20 year seasons. Whether that's fair or not is the opinion of the party. Whether you're convinced he's "good" or "a top line winger" is certainly a discussion that can take 100 different viewpoints. You can use baseline stats, you can use analytics, you can use fights, hits, blocks, tuffness, truculence, tenacity, effort, whatever you want.
Nick Ritchie was playing with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf for a time, to provide them space when they were at the end of their prime. Was he a top line player? Technically, yes, but his ppg suggested he was more like a bottom 6, bottom 3 player.
So, as is probably most common, we'll define Reinhart by his ppg, either overall or over the past 3 years. And I don't have the numbers in front of me, but last year he was 96th OA in ppg, but that also includes 6 players that played less than 10 games. Making Reinhart 90th OA. Which means, by standard definition, he's a top line forward. - TheSabresTaco
Excellent post taco
I'm looking beyond the numbers on paper.
It's easy to read the scoring leaders and put him wherever he falls.
The eichel factor is real man, it's super real.
I'm forming an opinion based on watching sam play hockey for the past 6 years. It's ok to disagree.
Sam is a part of this team, and just like everyone else, he should be paid for HIS play.
Just hoping the Sabres do not pay him more than his individual worth.

Kane doesnt want to come back to Buffalo......... he doesnt even come back here during the summers anymore since the Cab issues.
But I get what you were saying.
Anyways .... we cant have a kane like player, keep hall, sign Dahlin long term,
cap wise it doesnt fit. - Sabretooth9
So the Sabres trade sams 6 million expected contract and risto or montour or miller or a combo.
Or you do not pay olloffson or sam - I wouldn't walk, but that's probably 10 million right there.
It does become difficult to sign dahlin , but okposo becomes way more movable - kraken
Or skinner to the kracken -
Other teams make moves to avoid the cap crunch.
If you get kane, and eichel wants out, you still sell tickets

Sure does.
However, the Saints weren’t able to sustain the dominance in that division. I think that’s why Brees gets over looked when it comes to the “best of the best” conversation. |

Did you notice the reider article where he says " I pride myself on being difficult to play against"
Can I ask some of the sammers, do you think he could try harder? Is he playing to his top abilities?

The Saints have had some terrible luck these last few years.
Then there was a small stretch where they were in and out of the playoffs and a borderline playoff team because their defence couldn’t stop anybody.
It’s a team sport.
Rodgers for the better chunk of his career, apart from Devante Adams and Greg Jennings, has really been throwing to a bunch of nobodies.
Randall Cobb was average at best. |

Completely agree. Winning is the object of sport.
Wouldnt the biggest winner be the best qb? |

Bill Russell isn’t considered the best yet won 11 in 13 years.
Can’t have it both ways.

Brees - joe horn, marquise colston and now finally thomas.
Brady - couple years with moss , Edelman, troy brown
Not sure if any qb has s future hall of Famer
Maybe Edelman ? Moss for sure |

Kane doesnt want to come back here ...... PER his FATHER as of this summer. My dad used to work with Mr. Kane / friends at his car dealerships years ago. My parents saw the Kanes at Hoaks and my dad always asks about Patrick and how hes doing.
So this is an e5 rumor shutdown. |

Very good point. 👍
Although Jordan and lebron have won plenty, jordan has what 6 and lebron 4 or 5? 10 final appearances.
Rodgers 1
Brees 1
Brady 6
Brady has 6 times as many ....
But, your %1,000 correct |

He's not a good PK'er, but once in a blue moon will score a PK goal because of his speed |

Because they run the ball well and play great defense 😉
Is 5-1 a superbowl stat?
Winners are proven in January not October.
Its Similar to you starting the nhl after the holiday break? |

I respect the insider information, but hasnt the "chicago stars are upset " just come out recently.
Would the sabres signing reider maybe change his mind?
Or Taylor hall perhaps?
Or firing botts?
The buffalo Bill's being good?
