It was rumoured before but it appears Bruins are cutting their budget this year.

Chara on the Leafs would look really weird, but I'd be ok with it.

I saw this. Logged in to comment since the first time since... apparently 2011 when Todd Cordell wrote a piece on why the flames shouldn't bring Iginla back.

I remember the off season when Iginla resigned in Calgary and somebody was saying "they need to sit Iginla and Thornton down in a room and sign them for as many years at as many dollars as they want and win." I remember thinking, Boston is never going to let Thornton go.

I then simultaneously had three epiphanies!

1) I'm old
2) Does Thornton really still play!?!?!?!?
3) Toronto still makes the same mistakes they did back then

I feel so sorry for leafs fans (and we've only had it MARGINALLY better in Calgary), I THINK our management realized the only real problem has been goalie-ing! but what do I know? I'm just a blog-reply-guy.

Join me in second team cheering for the Sabres? (Love any Hall success after Edmonton traded an all-star for.... somebody)
