Ever play the Doc Drinking Game?
When watching a game with your buddies, each of you pick a word or phrase like Waffleboarded, Skittered, GOT THE GLASS WITH THE SHOT, etc and take a drink for each time it's said. - Fenrir

This is a point Ive made in previous posts and totally agree. Faceoffs is just a very small part of it. Hes a big kid who plays very small. I reiterate that this third year will be telling of whether hes getting better or if weve seen what kind of player he will be. - aecliptic
Just turned 21 and hasn't even played 2 seasons yet. God you guys are so (frank)ing impatient |

Were the Islanders wrong in trading a 23yo 2011 5th overall pick or should they have kept waiting and waiting and waiting? |

I mean unless you are making the case for Chytil being untouchable, I think he's fair game to throw in trade proposals
his last 27 games he had 3 goals and 3 assists, he's yet another young left handed forward we have who isn't overly physical, hasn't shown good playing making ability, poor on faceoffs and we still don't know if he's a center or winger yet....
BUT
that doesn't mean we should be giving up on him, he just turned 21 last month, he's got tremendous size and skates really well, this could be the year he puts it together |

Never said he is untouchable, kid hasn't played 2 seasons yet and has had a round robin of crappy wingers. Can we wait more than 2 season before saying some one sucks? |

Ive never said he sucks, dont think anyone said he actually sucks. Just that were not expecting much more than what hes given us, atleast not at the center position. Maybe if he was a winger he’d have more success, but on this team thats not possible at all. |

well I do the point that was made earlier is a good one, the Islanders have made good decisions on players and bailed out on mistakes quickly and made a couple of great decisions
like pulling the plug on Griffin Reinhart so quickly, that was a genius move, we would have all been you have to have more patience with a young guy we used the 4th overall pick on
Isles were like BOOM, this guy doesn't have it, lets get Barzal for him
On the other hand, Rangers waited too long to pull the plug on Lias Andersson

Right this second, no. Lets give him some decent wingers, see how he does this season and go from there. Do I think he could be, sure. He has the skill. |

Difference between Chytil and Reinhart and Andersson is Chytil has shown skill the other 2 are just awful. |

Don't think so. Could be wrong but I remember him being with all the revolving door garbage except Kakko here and there |

Reinhart was a beast for the Kunlun Red Star though. 2 assists in 33gp. WORKHORSE. |

Heres my question, why does he need “decent” wingers? He had a rotation of Kakko, Fast and Gauthier on RW, all decent players. As a center he should be able to elevate the play of the people around him, even if its marginal.
Heres what happens:
Strome has 60pts with Panarin and they say thats Panarin making Strome look good.
Chytil has 60pts with Panarin and they say “HA! I told you so!”. This is the real Chytil. |
