Best all time was Danny Gallivan English broadcaster for the Habs, and I hated the Habs growing up.
Jim Robson out of Vancouver, Bob Old...err, Cole for the Leafs, unfortunately the American broadcasters just don’t stack up to what Canada offers.

Look, Doc was what he was. I think his Doc-isms rubbed long-time fans the wrong way, but for the casual fan he probably came across as an exciting guy to listen to, especially in the playoffs.

In the end, that’s fine. I may have grown tired of him decades ago, but he had his place. Even people who don’t watch hockey typically will get into the Cup run or occasionally Winter Classics. Doc was a part of that for many casuals.

I know a lot of people preferred the duo of Clement and Thorne, as did I. I also like Keith Jones’ analysis.

Of course, most of us would rather listen to their local guys. Gimme Jim Jackson any day. Coatesy should hang it up, though. I think he’s perpetually inebriated.

In his prime, Mike Lange was near the top, especially on the radio! Sam Rosen is also a Hall of Famer.

Emrick was terrible...I'd pray for sportnet in canada to call the playoffs but we can't get that feed in the usa....emrick was a joke....horrible and shrill.
