Who would be the centre on the other top line, Beagle?
That was a pretty idiotic trade coming from a guy who wants quality centres, but loves Gaudette and Elias as top 3 centres.
You jump on people who want to trade Brock to fill a whole but promote a trade of a more important player and positional young player, smarten up - Reubenkincade
Why not do Brock + dump + for Laine? Both are pure goal scorers with Laine being better. |

I think we are better with Bo and Miller than Laine and Miller. Sure Laine will get you more points than Bo, but Bo will give you more chances to win the game than Laine. Bo is as close to Bergeron as Laine is to Ovechkin. Who would you rather have? - Retinalz
100% for Bo. Looked great in PO's and will only get better. Too much risk and attitude with Laine. Lazy Hockey player too. |

Gaudette
It’s time for Elias Pettersson to play center full time....it ain’t a possibility, I’m just spit-balling as I think JT Millers a better center than Horvat, he’s more consistent and he’s a better leader.

So would I, but he isn't Chara, he isn't a Franchise D. If he wants us to cater to his every whim to come play here, tell him to stay the fvck in Russia. - Retinalz
I'm not a big Tree cheerleader, but are there actually any reports he's demanding things from the Canucks now? Or is this just some narrative people are conjuring up after him being away for 5 years?
Believe it or not, I actually trust JB to bring him over if the deal is right. He's an RFA, so he's not in the biggest bargaining position. |

With Toews(24) being the only one to do it before 25, most selke winners are late 20's early 30's before they win it. in fact all but Bergerons(26) first win are from 27+ year old players. Kopitar didn't win it until AFTER his first cup, same with Bergeron. I'd trade Miller before Horvat currently. - Retinalz
Not me, JT Miller is a better point producer, he’s more consistent, he’s a better leader and he’s just as good in the face of circle. |

I think it is just speculation based off of how things went when he ran back to Russia. he also required special treatment to come here the first time as well. Though it isn't confirmed, it is a valid concern by fans. History repeats after all. |

Last year is his only better year than Bo's best year, and he did it with better linemates throughout the season. Miller is a really good player, but Bo produces with weaker wingers than Miller(who gets EP, and often times it was Boeser until Toffoli, Bo got Pearson and LE most of the time) Linemates matter.
EDIT: Make our lines
EP-Bo-Boeser
Pearson-Miller-LE
I bet Bo out produces Miller |

As much as I think Petterson is a very good player, I don't think he is a Centre, obviously Green and his SHL coach don't think so either.
Gaudette is a very questionable nhler never-mind a centre.
Miller has been excellent so far, but his consistency is the reason the Rangers got rid of him. His leadership is nice, especially when he gives Brock and Jake poop for being lazy (frank)s. |

For sure they do, at this point I still believe Miller’s a better player than Horvat, but we’re splitting hairs here. Just love to get Laine with Pettersson, he’d score 50 and Pettersson would be a 100 point first line center. |

This is an interesting narrative. Name one player who would choose to play in the AHL rather than the NHL. How many whims does he have? I’d say the Canucks (Benning) has caved far more for, say, Myers. Talk about catering to whims, just look at the bottom six. |

Pettersson plays center, he just doesn’t take face-offs because he lacks the physical strength. |

5 years have passed – the dude has been up and down then back up in Russia, and by all actual accounts matured. To lump someone's past on them – when they've had to leave their country to a foreign place complete with culture shock and external marital pressures – seems a bit dramatic.
Until something actually comes out or not, why are some casting him as some villain? Seems like a lot of energy spent over speculation that you yourselves are creating.
History repeats if you don't learn from it. |

Horvat didn’t receive a Selke vote this year, yes I know he plays some tough matchups, however, Miller did...he finished 19th. - Pacificgem
I hear ya, Horvat didn’t even receive one vote while Miller was tied for 19 with Giroux and Acciari.
While you’re at it Pettersson should also be traded, he never received one vote either, bust written al over both Horvat and Pettersson. |

Myers doesn't have a NMC and he doesn't have an out clause if we send him down(he probably gets picked up on waivers, and could potentially MTA if he wants) Tree's first contract had an out clause that if he got sent down he could bolt for the KHL, he also declined going down for a few games for a conditioning stint. I have also ready that he still doesn't come to camp in great shape either(like Big Buff, but not as good) |

Didn't he also have an illness or death in the family around the time he went back to Russia? I seem to remember there being something about his grandmother. |

Is he available still? - Reubenkincade
I hope so.
Ive heard whatever you sign him for reduces the cap hit by that amount. Hes like a unicorn |

If he comes back he should be treated like all the other players. He hasn't earned any assurances or special treatment. If he gets beat out in camp, off to Utica. Or stay in the KHL.

Myers has an “out clause”, it’s called too much money and too many years. The one whim they crumpled under was to allow him to return to the KHL instead of being assigned to the AHL. Virtanen - not in shape, is he a whiny female dog who can pound sand? Let’s see who on this team currently has a NTC or NMC and discuss what whiny female doges they are... |
