Bad idea trade the Captain. Locker room shambles.
- Fidel

He’s not getting traded, I’m just making conversation for the sake of making conversation as there’s nothing really to talk about.

Love ❤️ Myers.
- Makita

Hey look, I don’t love Myers, but I wouldn’t consider him a whiny female dog because he wanted “X” contract specifications, or Beagle for that extra year and limited NTC. Suggesting that a person is a whiny, lazy, whatever because they would rather work in their home country than abroad under less than ideal conditions is...

Do you know what these six guys all have in common since the 04/05 lockout season?

- Rod Brind’Amour
- Pavel Datsyuk
- Patrice Bergeron
- Jonathan Toews
- Anze Kopitar
- Ryan O’Reilly

I’ll tell ya, in the 15 seasons since the 04/05 lockout they’ve (all centers) combined for thirteen Frank J. Selke Trophies and everyone of them has won the Stanley Cup in that time frame. Only Ryan Kesler (2011) and this years winner Sean Couturier haven’t won the Cup. It’s more important to have a Selke winning center than it is to have the Hart Trophy winner!

Which is why I’d explore trading Bo Horvat + for Patrick Laine and put J.T. Miller in as your second line center behind Pettersson.

Laine Pettersson Hoglander
Pearson Miller Boeser
Podkolzin Gaudette Virtanen

**Full disclaimer** I’ve got too much time on my hands to do research

Bo has a better chance of winning the Selke then Laine.... so what's your point...

he really needs to decide to LTIRetire. His agent even said the he may not even be able to see his daughter play again in another year.

That to me reads as "Another concussion and his brain could be to fvcked up to live his life properly."

I have it on good authority that is Benning's call to make, not Ferlands.

That JT Miller has just as good a chance, if not better, of winning the Selke than Horvat does.

Didn't he also have an illness or death in the family around the time he went back to Russia? I seem to remember there being something about his grandmother.

Wouldn’t that be something if Jim Benning actually had something up his sleeve in regards to a trade that would allow Mike Hoffman to sign with a Canucks

I think we are better with Bo and Miller than Laine and Miller. Sure Laine will get you more points than Bo, but Bo will give you more chances to win the game than Laine. Bo is as close to Bergeron as Laine is to Ovechkin. Who would you rather have?

It's got to be unsettling for Hoffman. I do believe he has some offers on the table though. If you could get him on a 1-2 year deal, there's the bridge the young guys need.

He’s 31 years old in November, got to be careful with those guys as they seem to fall off a cliff with their offence of production. Buyer beware.

Bergeron has had more post season success than Ovechkin. been closer to winning multiple cups. I'd honestly take Bergeron over Ovechkin.
