Yeah I can get behind that. Usually I have stuff prepped in the freezer and vacuum sealed ready to go. When I go shopping I buy a poop load of meat and spend an hour or so prepping it. So all I my gotta do is fry it up. And, my girl cleans the atom bomb that I left in the kitchen, so that ain’t my problem. Hahaha
5 Guys is the most superior chain burger joint around. Although I’ve never tried In and Out. Shake Shack is over rated as (frank). We were talking about it the other night as we got 5 guys on the way back from the gym... I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a bad 5 guys burger experience. They are the exact same quality day in and day out. - j.boyd919
In and Out is very overrated. |

Agreed. Back when I lived in Vegas everyone was saying you have to go there and when I finally tried I was just very.... whelmed lol. It's definitely good, fresh, the fries are decent, but I wasn't blown away. Fatburger vs. In and Out is the west coast battle and I definitely choose Fatburger.
I finally got to try Whataburger earlier this year when I visited a friend in TX and basically had the same experience, but he said the quality literally changed overnight when they got bought out by another company, but everyone used to say that was the best one.

Never had Culver's, but to me there isn't a huge separation between most of these burger places. None of them blow me away.
Fatburger, In & Out, Shake Shack, Five Guys, Smashburger etc... They're all good, but even the ones I think are the better ones in a group like that aren't better by a huge margin. I will say I think Steak & Shake is pure trash. Never understood the hype.
The ONLY place I thought was the best and I don't even know if they're still around was Backyard Burger when I lived in TN. I think they were maybe only in TN. |

Different cuts have different textures and fat contents which greatly affects a burger even though you're grounding up the meat. You notice a huge difference. The blend I was mentioning gives you a much better crust, more natural flavor, juicer and a softer texture.
I promise you if you took a blend like that to make a burger and lined it up next to a regular ground beef burger cooked exactly the same you'll notice a huge difference. - Rinosaur
I dont doubt you guys are absolutely right on the quality and how big of a difference it makes. I will buy prime rib burgers from the butcher if I do get them. I just dont really ever get excited for burgers, though you guys have me thinking about grabbing some. |

I love burgers, but I'm definitely more of a hot dog person.

I think it's a regional thing. Growing up in NY and NJ, hot dogs are a big thing. |
