Do you guys even think there is going to be a season realistically? I sure hope so, but am not confident there will be...I think the reason they are waiting for a 1/1 start is in hopes that fans will be able to attend the games, and I just don't see how that can happen 3 months from now. I certainly hope I am wrong but if they can't have fans I don't see them having a season.

I think they will. College football has hit snags, but it's looking like the season is going to complete with lots of schools allowing a certain percentage of capacity at games. If the NHL didn't come back, they'll be the only league to to cancel the season, and I don't think Bettman wants that.

I don't disagree necessarily...however I do think the ice rinks are potentially more hazardous then outdoor sports (according to the CDC)...but yea I guess the results of the election would certainly play a role in it too. I guess I don't fully understand why they are waiting until 1/1, I would think most teams besides maybe the 4 in the semi-finals would be ready to go. Only reason I can guess is because they aren't allowed to have fans back yet. and then theres the whole canadian teams issue too I suppose. what s hit show

By New Years the NFL is almost done and college football only has a handful of Bowls left. I wouldn't be super shocked if the NHL tries to strike a deal with various stadiums to to hold games outdoors at least through the end of flu season when COVID spread will be at its worst assuming we don't have a vaccine by then.

But besides that, hockey is an extremely taxing sport. You definitely have to give these guys a couple months off between seasons or else injuries will be rampant, especially if you're planning to condense the season into a shorter time window, which I assume is likely.

As a member of the hockeybuzz sous vide community and an owner of a natural gas grill I highly recommend getting a smoker box or smoker tube for your grill. I’ve already smoked 2 pork shoulders in the last month now since I got my grill.
