so it sounds like because Canada-US travel still wont be allowed freely by January 1st that this Canadian division thing will happen where the 7 Canadian teams are just gonna play each other for the season

so then they'll probably create three 8 team divisions of the United States teams, probably with limiting travel in mind

haha, I know they've been talking about this already

splitting up the 24 American teams into 3 eight team divisions isnt easy

I was trying to think about it and I am end up knowing where Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, Colorado, St Louis, all those kind of teams should go

like these are easy:

Rangers Florida Arizona
Devils Tampa Vegas
Isles Carolina San Jose
Boston Los Angeles
Philly Anaheim
Pittsburgh

but filling out the rest is kind of tricky

if the United States and Canada don't allow constant travel back and forth with no exceptions, I dont see how they can have a normal season without a Canadian division

like the Bluejays, they got around this by playing all their games in Buffalo this past season

If testing were more frequent and available, we would be able to put all of these travel restrictions behind us. I went for a rapid test a few months back for required travel, and it was a breeze. It took 5 minutes to administer the test and I found out in 45 minutes that I was negative. The White House has been using a similar test for months. Why can't airports (and in this case the NHL) use the same test? Require travelers to arrive to the airport 2 hours early and test the poop out of people. If you don't have the coco you can gogo.

I just solved the travel ban. Accepting write ins on Nov 3rd.
