We certainly can. But we should just replace Hutton.
Getting Ullmark for 2.5-2.75 for the next 2 years as a backup until UPL is potentially ready is best case scenario - sbroads24
I think Hutton has literally 0 value. He’s been that bad |

Yup and add in the bills have sucked on both sides of the ball the last couple weeks.
Josh Allen wise. The remaining games this year .... we will see if the first 4 games were an anomaly or the real josh Allen - Sabretooth9
Yep it’s tough to expect josh of games 1-4. Game 5 he was actually fine, game six not so good. He takes all the blame on himself, which is a very redeeming characteristic, but his teammates did let him down a lot in the last 2 games; dropped passes and bad oline play. He does need to make the throws he missed last game (Beasley over the middle, Singletary in the flat and diggs in the left side of the endzone). The throw to diggs in the back of the endZone was amazing, diggs usually comes up with that but it looked like the CB got away with grabbing his left arm early |

From the AP article about Bills/Jets,
“The Bills and Jets have been complete opposites when it comes to a crucial stat: third-down conversions. Buffalo leads the NFL in that category with a success rate of 56.2%, helping the Bills consistently sustain drives. The Jets, meanwhile, are last in the league with a 30.23% conversion rate on third downs.
Buffalo’s running game has topped 100 yards just twice this season, and hasn’t done so in three straight — the Bills’ longest drought since a four-game stretch from Sept. 21-Oct. 12, 2014.
The Bills also are tied for last in the NFL with just one rush of 20 or more yards all season: a 34-yard gain by T.J. Yeldon against Tennessee. Starting running back Devin Singletary is averaging only 3.8 yards per carry with 270 yards on 71 carries.”
I guess the Bills get themselves to 3rd and short pretty often. Interesting that converting third downs 5.5 times out of 10 leads the league.
They better get their running game going soon. - Ratsreign
Lundell has 4 goals today.
Panthers got a steal at 12.
Congrats. |

Ullmark is difficult to figure out. His normal 5 on 5 stats are borderline excellent but his dangerous area shots and PK shot statistics are very bad. Basically he’s way above average on saves he should make but if it’s a dangerous shot, he’s typically not coming up with the great save. - turbo044
1 or 2 year deal at $2.8-$3M is what I expect |

So the blue line needs a shake up and there needs to be some moves for sure
Even moving one of Risto/Montour and maybe even Miller that blue line needs some upgrades...who out there would be available and fit in? |

Jets game is dangerous. Jets are getting back darnold, mims and their LT while buffalo has no Knox, Brown, a makeshift oline, and underperforming Dline and starting cornerbacks called you from the practice squad (if tre can’t go). This is a game buffalo HAS to win but won’t if they’re looking ahead to NE. Josh is going to have to be first 4 games MVP josh - turbo044
Darnold scares no one
The Jets haven't scored a meaningful TD all season......literally all in garbage time or when the other team is up multiple TDs and coasting.
I believe they have only 1 TD where they weren't playing garbage time football and that happened when the other team missed 2 tackles
The only way the bills lose is if they just want to screw the Jets of the 1st overall which is pointless because the Jets will pick terrible picks |

I think you are looking at trades at this point... I’d still like a steady vet d man at 1RD, I loved the hjlmarsson idea, but he won’t waive. And a hannifin at 2LD would be good.
I think miller could be ok at 1RD. Fancy stats support that I think. But Ralph doesn’t seem to like Miller.
Risto should be traded based on upcoming contract needs and redundancy at 2RD. But Ralph seems to love him...
You are 100% right and I’m not sure we see anything until the 3 rfa’s are handled.

It’s a deep draft so there’s going to be players that outperform there draft position.
In saying that, I liked Lundell a lot as a 3rd line shutdown center, but the fact he lasted to 12 means he probably wasn’t in play for the sabres pick. Quinn will always be compared to Rossi and let’s hope Adams didn’t overthink this one. We all thought Beane overthought Allen over Rosen, so we’ll see in a few years |

My hope was Rossi or Lundell.
I am trying to like the Quinn pick as much as I can, I really am.
I’ve gone and watched everything I can watch on him and I do admire the skill set. Hopefully he out produces his projections. |

Ppl keep saying that, about Ralph not liking Miller,
but Ralph was actually playing Miller with Dahlin for the last part of the season
Just bc Miller sat a few games at the beginning of the season bc Scandella was playing good doesn’t really mean “Ralph didn’t like him” |

Ok....
Dahlin. Miller
Hannifin. Joker.
McCabe. Monte
Borgen.
Does that get us anywhere? |

Depends what u mean by “anywhere”
And i think a goalie upgrade is much more important than say swapping Montour or Risto for a comparable LH guy
I also didn’t mean we can’t still trade Miller
Just don’t understand where the “Ralph doesn’t like him” talk comes from? |

Getting anywhere = playoff defensive lineup? Not one of the worst pk units in modern nhl history? Actually competitive night in and night out to play meaningful games toward the middle and end of a season?
Ralph not liking Miller = sitting him over half the scrap he rolled out over him, including but not limited to scandella and Bogo.
And yes an upgraded tendy would certainly help. Or one that can actually see. Lol. Someone brought up Bishop recently, I wonder if Dallas would move him... |

Bishop would have to waive his NTC
With Hall and Eichel he might consider it, but I still doubt it |

His agent wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't request 4m+. His best comps range from 2.75m to 4.4m. He has a very reasonable case at 4.1, much stronger than KA's at 1.8.

I watched Quinn’s goals from last year, 3 observations;
1. I realize anybody’s goal highlights will make him look good
2. He scored 4 or 5 Empty netters which elevated his goal total but also showed he was trusted defensively at end of games.
3. He’s got a wicked wrist shot BUT he’s definitely no a perimeter type player. He scores most of his goals going to the net. This is a very good sign considering he’s tall and will fill out |

Your homerism is coming g through in spades there Bossman.
Did you read the article to see why that comment was made?
If so, can you then explain to me why they re-signed this guy for supposedly his defensive acumen...
His PK stats are among the worst in the league... but go on. - IonSabres
12 goals ion.s. 5th on the team in goals scored.
Outplayed his current contract.

The Sabres played 69 games last year. Miller was never hurt and was only put in the lineup for 51 games. 18 games in the press box (26% of games) is significant and isn’t just the beginning of the season. He sat out 10 straight days in November amongst other extended periods. Ralph also said of Miller that some players take longer to adjust to the system than others. This, along with their praise of Risto and Montour, leads me to believe miller is the one to be traded. The way Montour played last year, I wouldn’t have qualified him and let him go to UFA. That $4m would be huge right now,
Allowing us the cap room to go after a Kuemper type. Granted, I don’t think they had any clue they’d sign Hall for $8m. |

Kuemper I’d better, less injury prone and cheaper than Bishop anyway |

Let’s not forget they chose to play Bogosian over him too. So in their minds Miller was the 5th RD and in all reality was their 2nd best |
