I understand the push the hard work down the road A year strategy to see where everything is, but don’t necessarily agree with it.

The Sam deal is perplexing. Why would he do the team a favor when they have never done one for him in negotiations? Most players want to keep the band together who have something to keep together, this team doesn't unless keeping that losing team with some new additions. The one big addition is going to lower his status. He no longer is the team's top winger thank God.

If they spread the top 6 players around more he could go on line two and that could be interesting for him. Maybe he truly is a pu**y and didn't want to get ripped a new one in the arbitration hearing? I don't think the deal is bad, he is about half the player Jack is so half the pay. Unfortunately, arbitration goes by inflated stats by being on the line of one of the league's top 5 centers so he settled for less than he probably could have gotten for some reason.

Try him at 2rw - see what he really Is without eichel. Maybe sign him for less next year?

And if u put Sam at RW2 & end up getting him cheaper, great
