I don’t hate it but don’t love it.
I understand the push the hard work down the road A year strategy to see where everything is, but don’t necessarily agree with it. - ImThatGuy
It’s a dumb strategy for where the Sabres are at.
They need some value contracts |

Yes, by 19 days (June 30th vs. his birthday). |

People on here have been b!tching about Ullmark and his 2019-20 season. They'd have b!tched if he got a multi-year deal as well - Michael Pachla
I think it's a very reasonable deal. Perfect deal really
Gives 1 more year for upl to develop. Prove it deal.

The Sam deal is perplexing. Why would he do the team a favor when they have never done one for him in negotiations? Most players want to keep the band together who have something to keep together, this team doesn't unless keeping that losing team with some new additions. The one big addition is going to lower his status. He no longer is the team's top winger thank God.
If they spread the top 6 players around more he could go on line two and that could be interesting for him. Maybe he truly is a pu**y and didn't want to get ripped a new one in the arbitration hearing? I don't think the deal is bad, he is about half the player Jack is so half the pay. Unfortunately, arbitration goes by inflated stats by being on the line of one of the league's top 5 centers so he settled for less than he probably could have gotten for some reason. |

But, I thought arbitration wasn't going to take covid into account? His agent and him know more though.

No. Can't remember who brought that up here |

With these size contracts VO's contract should be one year 3.3 |

I'll get chewed alive around here, but they were gonna walk if arbitration was too much. Sam would be a ufa in a sea full of other ufa non stars. Probably settle for alot less than 5.2 .
That being said, it's a great deal for the Sabres. Write him in for 65 points with eichel. It's been proven.
Try him at 2rw - see what he really Is without eichel. Maybe sign him for less next year?
Wonder how many goals he would have had on a line with Larsson and okposo? |

Ullmark & Sam signings are both fine
MANY on here were talking about Ullmark OVER $3mil, and Sam OVER $7mil
They get LESS & ppl are STILL COMPLAINING
Good grief
Also...
Bills defense- meh, 2nd half was better
And the offense couldn’t finish... against the JETS
Nice to get back in the win column,
but i was looking for something MUCH more convincing against a sh!tty team |

Just wondering if there is gonna be some sort of management movement?
Allowing new ownership or a new president of hockey opps to really mold this team. Maybe even move eichel if he wants out.

Well Okposo plays RW too, so.....
And if u put Sam at RW2 & end up getting him cheaper, great
But then whoever u move up to play with Jack you’re gonna have to pay more
So what’s the difference?! |
