I think tage will be given every opportunity in the top-nine and by the time the nhl starts, presumably in february the way it looks, cozens will have had a good chunk of playing time in junior and will have played in the world juniors which will give them a good indication on where he's at developmentally - Michael Pachla
Are worlds going to happen? Haven't heard anything on that.

May I ask why ?
All of those players are 3rd line Centers.
Wennberg and Janmark are also good defensively and can actually handle the minutes they’d be ask to play.
To get a good return on Eakin we’d have to shelter him defensively. He is literally the forward version of Ristolainen. He gets caved in offensively and defensively but because he has an above average shot he scored 22 goals two years ago. - Pegullaville
put any of those players on the knights in their first two years of existence and none would be considered a thrid-line center, especially wennberg and lockport larry |

there's no reason why they can't happen as a bubble situation has no effect on the tournament |

Like I said, haven't read anything on it. There's one big reason reason, and it's $. Ton of extra cost and no fans.

Sure, but we are paying Eakin for what he is going to do this year and next.
Vegas and Winnipeg let him walk for a reason.

Fair deal, term and $. Look forward to seeing what he does next. - Lunaion
I really like oloffson alot. Hope he proves me right 😉
May sound strange but I think he does well with or without eichel. I see him as more than a pp specialist. Just an opinion |

vegas is tight against the cap and wpg doesn't really need him as they picked up stastny and already have copp and lowry for their bottom-six |

There's going to be a bubble in Edmonton for the World Junior Tournament -- the schedule has been released and pool play begins on Christmas.

It's funny that you've talked yourself into the $800,000 "overpayment" for girgensons is now a fact. 😀
They paid girgensons what they needed to keep him in Buffalo at the time. - Boss34
you are the only one on that very small island,
And from nearly everybody, they didn't "have" to sign him..in fact the vast, vast majority felt they shouldn't have.
But go on. |

Yes sir, you are indirectly proving my point.
Eakin is not good enough to be a top 6 Center but he hurts every team he has been on defensively.
Copp and Lowry are 200 foot Centers and will play the tough minutes in Winnipeg.
Unless Kreuger plans on having the Eichel or Staal lines play a lot more defensive minutes then we’d like them too, then the Eakin and Lazar/Asplund lines will be tasked with that in Buffalo.
Wennberg/Janmark are much better suited for defensive minutes and would have costed less than Eakin.
However I respect your opinion and perhaps Kreuger’s system can get the most out of Eakin’s skill set and perhaps allow him to play better defensively.

eakin, in my mind, is a third line/bottom-six center...what i'd like to see is the sabres trade a d-man, maybe monty, and bring in haula for third-line center duties dropping eakin down to fourth line |

I know these 3-way trades get dumb, but here's mine
To NJD: Colin Miller
To AZ: Carter Hutton, Buffalo 2021 2nd, AZ 2021 3rd (Currently owned by NJ)
To Buf: Darcy Kuemper - jcragcrumple
I like it |

Blackhawks are loaning Kirby Dach to Canada.
One less spot available now.
Would be a good litmus test to see where Cozens is at however in comparison to Kirby. |

We have so few players with term. We're talking about someone like Miller, Borgen, or Asplund. Mentally, I'm just prepared to lose Borgen.
