Blackhawks are loaning Kirby Dach to Canada.
One less spot available now.
Would be a good litmus test to see where Cozens is at however in comparison to Kirby. - Pegullaville
That's so bizarre to me. A team who's so focused on developing their young players is going to let him play for Canada for a month? Just.. odd.

Well if the NHL is aiming for a mid-to-late January start, the World Juniors will be over by then assuming they still plan to play over Christmas.
AHL and CHL start even later, too. |

I disagree. The team is trying to form a new identity. Hard work , grind and play a checking game.
Why get rid of a player that fits the new identity ?
Why replace a player who the coach has coached and fits his style?
They paid girgensons ufa valued money, before the free agent market was set.
Just my opinion - Boss34
Still with Girgs??
He’s a good defensive player for us,
who got a little overpaid
Doesn’t have to be one or the other
Lotta talk for a 4th liner though |

Girgensons is Paul Gaustad 2.0 - Here past his expiration date, falls down more than a toddler learning how to walk. Except Gaustad was excellent on the dot and he fetched a 1st round pick. Girgensons is neither good on the dot nor will he net us a 1st rounder from a desperate team.
He sucks. - 3rd GM's the charm
gaustad was also, a p-uCci.
Supposed center material just like the wussycat eater

you are the only one on that very small island,
And from nearly everybody, they didn't "have" to sign him..in fact the vast, vast majority felt they shouldn't have.
But go on. - IonSabres

Reinhart gives credit to Krueger for making players want to join and play for Buffalo.

Boss doesn't think the contract is bad. The rest of the fanbase think he's overpaid. No one's gonna change anyone's mind. Efforts were in vain. So be it. Moving on.

I’d even retain 50% of Huttons contract to make that deal.
Then deal Montour to Winnipeg for futures or a small cap hit back.
Then sign Ben Hutton to a one year deal as a LHD.
Offseason complete. |

Rams us right up against the cap (with overages) but it's plausible. Are you taking a 4.5M goalie to be a 1A, though?

with all RFAs done, might see another move now. I think we're going into the season status quo at goalie, but should see Miller traded |

Like Pegulaville said, give Montour or Miller to Winnipeg for a pick.

It’s essential that we give Ullmark better competition then Hutton.
Especially considering it looks like we may be opening up our style of play and playing run and gun.
We essentially played a prevent defence last year and our goaltending still killed us. |

Sabres have two roster spots left, one is for Cozens. I don't think you're signing him without a prior trade. But having another useful middle six scorer would be nice. Unless they think that's Mitts. Then, you're not signing anyone. |

I would like to bring Kahun back along with Ben Hutton if we are able to rid ourselves of two of Risto/Montour/Miller along with Hutton in an upgrade for a goaltender. |

Once they fill out the roster, and inevitably deal with a few injuries, they are looking at another bonus overage rolling into next season.

Why is any team trading for Carter Hutton after the season he had when it can use just about any goaltender prospect it has in its system and get the same results at a minimum? |
