“We really had stretches from both Ullmark and Hutton of strong goaltending last season,” coach Ralph Krueger said. “At the moment, they are our goaltenders. We are working hard to work with them through this long break.
“For the moment, this is the way it is. I would feel extremely comfortable if we begin the season this way.” - Michael Pachla
in other words.. we are trying to upgrade but its not looking good so i can't just throw these guys under the bus because its probably what we are going to start with |

I randomly checked my PMs and I had one from Gerbe from 10 days ago. He said "goodbye forever" and the Sabres and flames are (were) working on a big splash

Wow- good post taco
Good start to the morning, and I see what you are saying:
Having Girgensons gives the Sabres a swiss army knife of a player , for a very team friendly 2 2 million.
We lost dan briere
That fateful july morning
Not his time with girgs |

That’s just honesty.
I am all for discussion on various topics. Nobody is going to agree on everything and I like to hear others opinions and it allows me to understand their view points and learn in the process.
For someone to essentially sub quote me and personally insult me is uncalled for and I’ll bite back.
That whole poster post was predicated on me comparing the Sabres going from a bearish market (the last 9 years) to a bullish market which I believe is the next great era of Sabres hockey.
I guess WashedUp is not one for analogies, doesn’t mean he has to be a butthole about it.

Holy sh!t, that is bad.
Ullmark certainly played a part, but wow that's shockingly bad. Thanks for sharing. |

I know people don't want to hear it, but I think Rieder is going to be a regular. I wouldnt be shocked if Okposo is a healthy scratch a lot this year. Sorry to say it but he's pretty useless as a 4RW if he can't kill penalties.
Without Rieder in the lineup, it's hard to name 4-5 PK guys
The Moulson-ization begins this year |

I guy one guy I mind , actually led the Sabres in pk time last season. He still remains part of the team and mix.
Hopefully like every other position, sliding said player down to pk 2 , will help the team tremendously.

True story. In saying that, I also think the forwards could have done more, as in 5-men as a unit. |

Selling this. Okposo is still effective in his given role. I think you're benching Miller and Lazar, regularly.
They'll want Reider playing 10 minutes a night, half of those minutes on the PK.
Or, maybe they'll be swapping Irwin and Reider in and out of games. |
