The bills are limping into this jets game injury wise.

If tre whore doesn’t play. Our secondary is brutal

They were 13.5 pt favorites. This would be a week to make some money by betting against that beat up team and spread.

Getting anywhere = playoff defensive lineup? Not one of the worst pk units in modern nhl history? Actually competitive night in and night out to play meaningful games toward the middle and end of a season?

Ralph not liking Miller = sitting him over half the scrap he rolled out over him, including but not limited to scandella and Bogo.

And yes an upgraded tendy would certainly help. Or one that can actually see. Lol. Someone brought up Bishop recently, I wonder if Dallas would move him...

- Gr8daygo

I think ppl have posted stats here that suggest it was the goaltenders that really failed us on the PK

I watched Quinn’s goals from last year, 3 observations;
1. I realize anybody’s goal highlights will make him look good
2. He scored 4 or 5 Empty netters which elevated his goal total but also showed he was trusted defensively at end of games.
3. He’s got a wicked wrist shot BUT he’s definitely no a perimeter type player. He scores most of his goals going to the net. This is a very good sign considering he’s tall and will fill out

Nice!
Appreciate the scouting report,
bc i slacked off this year & didn’t put any time into watching these guys

Letting him walk won't be an option, unless the arb award is even higher than he asked.

Not a big fan of his, but he's been our starter and most likely will be this year as well. Hard to argue he shouldn't be paid accordingly. He's UFA next year, if he winds up on a 1 year deal.

I think he's looking at a 3.3-3.5 arb ruling. Is he better off going that route and hitting UFA, or taking a little less on a 2 year deal? Tough call. Guess I'd say 2 years @ 3m is most likely, give or take.

Interesting thoughts 👍

Most likely they split the difference between the offers.

Interesting that montour's deal got worked out prior, my guess is only 1 of these 3 guys end up in actual arbitration.

Another thing about Quinn that no one mentions. He was coached by the Sabres all time great Norm Milley last season

The thing that sticks out most with me in regards to Quinn :

He was a multi- sport player until focusing on hockey recently. Seems like theres alot of room to improve, with time and muscle memory ect.

Some of the other kids probably have less room to grow?

Ullmark is as good as gone:

1.35 last year and did not play well
Wants 4.1 this season ?????

Ion s. This cant sit well with you and your throne

- Boss34

They want him to be number one and he wants to be number 1. I’ll say very close to 3.8 is what he will get.

I don’t look much into prospects. But I watched some stuff on him during my workout today. I was impressed. Not sure I like the fact that he was picked over the league mvp teammate though. But hopefully whoever is in charge knows what they are doing

I can’t see buffalo walking away if that’s what he gets. They can’t walk into the season with Hutton and whoever else they get. They need ullmark and he knows it.

Buffalo can't walk away. If he gets the $4.1 he asking for, which he won't, it's still below the $4.7 floor that you can walk away from

Like a few other prospects with this organization it’s time to sh!t or get off the pot. Ullmark was groomed to be the number one and it is time to do it or move him in a deal. The Sabres have several prospects that need to be dealt with now in the sense they are NHL ready or never will be.

Yeah, I'm hoping that Hughes at 6'1" translates better to the NHL than the 5'9" Rossi. As I said before, the thing that impresses me most about him is he goes into dirty areas to score and doesn't rely on his obvious skill and shot to be a perimeter player (a la Nylander). I don't know about his forechecking skills but hoping he turns into 6'2" 210 pound power forward

Yes, I think at 3.8 sabres let him walk.

If they pay the 3.8 , I would be encouraged (that the Sabres brass like him) and have higher expectations.

What's the cut off ? Is there a cutoff for any of the 3 players?

I don't make too much of any of this. Guys file every year. It's their only leverage, short of a hold out or offer sheet. Always a chance things could get ugly, if they get to a decision. They usually don't get there. How hard is KA pushing these guys? Contracts so far don't make me think he's pushing too far.

Can't walk away from any arbitration amount Ullmark is awarded: Only awards higher than $4,538,958 carry walk-away rights in this offseason
