I don’t believe anyone is important from ownership down until this organization can build and sustain a winning culture.

With that mindset every player is a risk, who other than Skinner and Okposo are in long term high risk deals? Every player that signs in Buffalo is taking a risk on an organization that continuously fails, same goes for players who have been here long term.

Good post

Huge risk for girgensons to resign here ☝️
Glad he took that chance.

All kidding aside, the long term deals haven't gone the Sabres way. Except eichel, who's worth the 10 million per

It feels like he's been a trade deadline mover for the past 5 years. The Athletic had him as someone who should be on the Bills' radar last year as well. It sounds like he's had enough for real this time though.

Blackhawks: Sam Reinhart, Dylan Cozens, Jack Quinn, 2021 1st, 2022 1st
Sabres: Patrick Kane ($5M retained)

Similarly, the return on this trade is high because the Hawks are taking back $5.2M in Reinhart’s salary while also retaining $5M of Kane’s salary. Reinhart adds back a top 6 right wing.

I assume he's just being a putz.

Today’s blog will feature a set of proposed trades to move out the core and a few others rostered players to gain back futures, mainly in the form of draft picks.

Some of these trades are likely unrealistic and some are borderline looney tunes but this is simply a fun exercise to see how far down the rabbit hole we can go and get a hallucinogenic glimpse of what could be on the other side.

This exercise is as close as you can get to GM mode in an NHL video game. Have fun with it and don’t take it too seriously. Expect the weird and wacky with All Hallows Eve on the horizon.

And of course, your ideas, feedback, and counter-proposals are most welcome.

After reading the rest of the blog it's apparent that he's just having fun.

How does one sustain anything when you are re-tooling and re-signing an entire team yearly?

Good sign for the Bills.

Hopefully they can continue it.

Bills are a good team and could be very good if they click

But this is the Jets so while 4 yards in one half is great, it's still my pathetic Jets

This is incredible growth 7 games in from Allen.

4th overall among QB's in value to his team.

He's legitimately a top 10 QB this season

I think you are wrong about the Bills .... they are actually a bad team. We beat the Jets .... the worst team in the NFL and won in the ugliest way possible.

We played 2 good teams this year and got spanked and the Rams game we lucked out on BIG TIME.

Josh Allen needs to figure out how to read a defense. He is excellent at reading man coverage but HORRIBLE against zone.

The defense needs a Defensive tackle .... which would help our defensive ends and linebackers out big time.

Harrison Phillips has been a bust and Oliver is still hurt from his illegal trip from week 1 or week 2.

I don't think there a bad team, they definitely have to figure some stuff out. They definitely could use a big DT, hoping they try for Tomlinson from the Giants. Hopefully we see more of that defense we saw in the 2nd half yesterday. Missing Brown has hurt the offense and Hopefully Feliciano can step in and help.

He's averaged 8 sack the last 4 years but he only has one so far this year 31 yrs old...
cap hit is high 11 this year and 13.5 next... Not sure I would go this route or not.
