Here’s my contribution. Today in Devils history:
1993: The New Jersey Devils goalie makes 17 saves in a 4-0 win over the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Alexander Semak, Randy McKay and Claude Lemieux score third-period goals to break the game wide open.
It’s the first of three shutouts in the 1993-94 season. Brodeur would get 125 shutouts in his career and all but one of them were with the Devils. The last one was with the St. Louis Blues.

Surprised to see he had 79 points in 92-93 then bounced around a bit in the AHL. Not sure what was going on then but nowadays you'd think a player like him would get more of a shot to prove himself. |
