I agree with you... new York was the only one around so I'm running with his narrative... the only comparison is having a big right hander with to long of a contract on D.

Perhaps a 50 percent retained trade.....

If we trade LE 50 percent retained, does that mean we can pay 500k to a team to take him?

Weber is so effective though. That clapper and his nasty streak... myers is a large giraffe prone to panic dumps. Not a fan

oh my god you're insufferable.

Team with less-than-stellar Dmen held together with superstar goaltending through the playoffs while relying on their young forwards to power their offense.

poop ain't to complex, stop trying to make it be. "Kinda like", not "the exact team with exact comparables so much so it's mind boggling".

Avatar bet that the Canucks finish ahead of the jets in a Canadian division?

Through the playoffs?

I still don't think there will be a season.

Interesting how much Oil and Leaf praise is being given to 2 teams that couldn't make the playoffs in their own buildings. They are one trick ponies with super high end forwards that melt under the physical game.

Their off season changes rated against the rest of the Canadian play off contenders would rank them a lot lower. The other Canadian teams are more well balanced and physical. Plus made moves that strengthens their ability to be just as strong or better for next season. I guess there is an aversion to being looked at as homers. But lowering the Canucks rank when they played better as a team then those 2 that seems short sighted.

In an all Canadian division the Flames, Jets, Canucks and to some extent new look Habs would match up better against Leafs and Oil who couldn't feast on outscoring low talent teams.

Thanks Nuck, I was wondering when the new blog would come out....

Don't underestimate what Barrie will do to the Oilers back end.

Even that PP benefit is skewed because it will do more for him in point totals individually then improving real team numbers.

https://www.covers.com/sp.../team-powerplay/2019-2020

The OIL had the top PP at 3.75 GPG. How much more can he add to that production.

But whatever Barrie giveth he will take it away in penalties or giving up goals against.

Yeah, strictly offensive.
They haven't has a pick moving offensive defensemen... ever in the McDavid era, they're going to be even more dangerous, interesting who he lines up with 5 on 5

Aquilini not allowing any, I’m guessing he told Jimbo you made this mess, you clean it up. Which realistically, isn’t the worst thing, tying his hands a bit. May work out better in the long run.

I mean why would they? We don’t even know if there will be a season. Hence the short term deals

I would’ve easily done that Leivo deal at that amount. Worst case you bury him and it’s $0 against the cap.

Doesn't a Sutter buyout actually save Aquaman money?
