What? Not satisfied with Josi, Ekholm, Ellis? Damn! You can forget it. If Slavin is moving, it will be to join the Jets in a Laine blockbuster! - Quillanrocks
It would boost the Top 4 and slide Fabbro back to the development spot that he badly needs for one year |

I don't know if Calgary would do this, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. I think the Flames would really benefit from Ghost's offensive upside, and puck moving ability.
Flyers get Tkachuk, Gaudreau, and a 3rd.
Flames get Ghost, JVR and a 2nd.

Remember the main reason Laine rumors are out there...not because they have control and want to keep him, because they can't afford to keep him without other pieces they may not want to get rid of going.
1) Everyone knows Laine is disgruntled, even if it is just "minor"
2) Every team knows the cap situation of every team in the league, it's not a surprise to anyone.
3) The flat cap was unexpected and a lot of teams are going to do things they weren't planning on doing.
So if in anyway you think Winnipeg holds all the cards and leverage then
Laine may not get traded this year, but someone will and that's a hard MUST unless the plan is the season never starts and deal with it later. - Glak18
This is a bad take. Take a closer look at the Jets cap, they can give him 9+ next year if they choose and do not have to give up anything significant from current roster. Jets are good shape. Stastny (6.5) was brought in for one year to give Perfetti more time. Jets have both Heinola and Samberg who should both be in the team this year but will absolutely be next year on entry level deals. Perreault (4mil) comes off this year as well. Jets are well set up with flat cap and giving Laine 2-3 mil raise next year won’t affect them at all.

ghost jvr and 2nd is arguably not enough for goudreau let alone tkachuk. You win homer award. |

What!! Tkachuk and Gaudreau for the Flyers trash.
I doubt the Flames would trade JG for that package alone. |

As a Sens fan I'd hate to see Kane wave his NTC to get out of the rebuilding Chicago and go back home to Buffalo. Imagine a first line of Hall - Eichel - Kane. That would be scary.
Buffalo has the cap room to do it.
Would Chicago accept Middelstadt plus a prospect or draft pick? - jimrobin

That honestly has to be the worst trade I've ever heard. |

Voracek, a 2nd round pick for Patrik Laine and Flyers retain $2m of Voracek's salary. - Nh_kong
I'm a Flyers fan but that trade doesn't make sense (for the Jets) on so many levels.

I Think it sounds reasonable but instead of Prospects put 2021 first rounder in the mix. |

I love all the Sabres (?) fans proposing deals for Kane centered around lottery protected 1st round picks and Casey Mittelstadt.
Sorry folks. We're talking about a premier player in the league and - what will be - the greatest American skater of all time who has many highly productive years ahead given his play style. Buffalo wants to take that next step so why not push all your chips in while you have Hall on the roster and put together the best line in the NHL to make yourself truly competitive?
Any trade starts with Cozens and Olofsson. |

Stop talking crap, and work on your reading comprehension. I said I didn't know if Calgary would do this. Your third from last place in the NHL team ...the DeadWings...needs a TON of help, probably before they're better than the Kraken, Caitlyn. |
