This is why I'll take Seabrook's contract for the next 3 years. Nothing beats a cup! (x3)

1st Rd + Nolan Foote for Blake Coleman
1st Rd for Barclay Goodrow +3rd

That would put the Lightning over the top as Stanley Cup Champions even though every one will say it was too much to give up.

Oh wait... that already happened and was well worth the price. STANLEY CUP CHAMPS!!!

Now I will go back to basking in the Cups gleam in Tampa while I wait to see how the team becomes cap compliant with the mess they have but again it was worth it.

To Buff: Kakko, 1 mid prospect + a 2nd. 1st next year if Buff returns a 2nd next year.

To NYR: Eichel and a pick (has to be 2nd if NYR send their first)

Gotta give to get.

(For purpose of this, I'm going to ignore the arrival of Stastny . . . )

I think if RNH wasn't a year from UFA, both teams would have to take a long look at this possibility, but I can't see it be a 1 for 1. If I'm the Jets I don't do it unless confident that Nuge will sign a multi-year extension, maybe do a sign and trade, and I also would want more coming from Edmonton.

Monahan for Dumba + 2nd
Johnny G for Nolan Patrick + 1st + 2nd (maybe plus more, if BT can swing more)

Then use the cap space saved to sign Hoffman for a few years for a new LW.

This is by far the worst proposal ever...LOL Holly smokes man, get your poop together

Every team has needs.
Whether it's salary cap reduction, a different chemistry player, whatever.

Biggest issue here is that fans tend to overvalue their own players.

As a Flyer's fan, I can tell you that our team is (almost) EXACTLY the same as last year. Down to the backup goalie.

That's not going to get it done (obviously).

You're going to have to GIVE to GET, and if you want a big-time player, you're going to have give up a big-time player.

Honestly, there's not many players on the Flyers I wouldn't at least CONSIDER trading.

Flyers need a sniper. Jets need somebody to make plays and they need an offensive D-man (the way I see it, anyway).

I'd be willing to bet a trade gets done, but it's going to cost BOTH teams.

Jets fan, let's talk.

I prefaced my trade offer BY SAYING I don't know if the Flames would do this. Work on your reading comprehension. Juvenile ja*$%sses.

Dude, Im speechless...not worth a preface. You asking the Jets to take on about 12 mil of salary for virtually 2 slugs. They wouldn't take that deal for no return.

Problem with Flyers fans is they don't want to give up anything for Laine. If I was trading for him,,and I have serious reservations about his character.

To the Flyers:
Laine

To the Jets:
Voracek
1st round pick next year.
Cameron York
Bobby Brink

If you can get the Jets to take back a RW in Voracek with his hefty salary and give them to highly rated prospects, one being a d-man that they need it might work

I'd take that deal. I think the Jets are going to need some hefty salary retention from the Flyers, and they're probably going to want a D-man that can play RIGHT NOW, so maybe add Ghost or one of the Flyer's other D-men not named Provorov into the deal and that might work. I'd certainly consider it and see if it could work out.
Flyers get their sniper.
Voracek gets a fresh start, and adds the "playmaker" factor for the Jets.
Jets get a decent (if not spectacular) D-man. (If Ghost, they fill their offensive-minded D-man need. Flyers might want a 3rd/4th line O-man for him to even out some of the cap difference for both teams.)
Jets get a couple of prospects and/or picks, and some cap relief. The Flyers have a little bit of wiggle room with the cap, and the Flyers are pretty stacked with prospects.

That might work for both teams.

Nobody gets over-valued. Both teams fill a need.

God thats awful for the Preds.. in what world does a Norris Trophy dman and a cheap top winger worth that heap of garb? Nurse doesnt even shine Josi’s shoes at this stage and Arvidsson is paid 4.2m..

Eveything else is a huge question mark no matter how nice Puls stats were in Finland..

Do you read? I literally said it wouldn't happen now. It would have to be next offseason after a failure of a season and Nashville decides to rebuild and cut payroll due to the economic situation . And was reliant on Puljujarvi having a good NHL season. Never did I say Nurse was as good as Josi, just that he plays the same position and costs less money and is 5 years younger. All true. Him not being as good is exactly why Samorukov and a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder are all included.

And Jones/Samorukov and Lavoie are actually pretty good prospects. Lavoie just won the Best Professional Prospect award last year. Others to win? Lafreniere this year, Zadina before him, Hischier, Dubois, Meier, Ehlers, Drouin, Couturier, and many other great NHLers. Getting 2 lesser roster replacements while saving around $8.5 mill and adding 2 good NHL ready prospects, a first round pick and a 2nd round pick isn't as bad of value as you make it out to be.

As we saw this year it isn't exactly easy for teams to trade away players with NMC's to save money. If it was, the Coyotes would've been able to unload Ekman-Larsson, or wouldn't even have been trying to trade him and would've been trying to get rid of Goligoski, Demers or Hjalmarsson instead.

JV at 4 x 8.25 is likely not a tradeable contract and it certainly adds no value to this proposal.

I’m the GM for the Flyers. 3-team trade

Flyers send- D-Ghost, F-Faberee, Frost, TK
To Jets
Jets send- Laine, Roslovic, Copp, Ehlers
To Flyers

Flyers Send- Sanhiem, Nolan Patrick
To Florida
Florida Panthers sends- Ekblad

Flyers lines

Laine-Coots-Giroux
JVR-Hayes-Voracek
Lindblom-Laughton-Roslovic
NAK-Copp-Raffl

Provy-Ekblad
Gustafsson-Myers
Haag-Braun

The Jets won't be trading Laine alone for that foolish offer. The Jets don't want Ghost.

The Jets wouldn't trade Laine for a pending UFA RNH. The Oiler would have to add big time.

95% of the trades proposed here either A) complete stupidity or B) needs a team to have 100 million salary cap.

The Jets won't be trading Laine anytime soon. The only player they would consider is Provorov and the Flyers wouldn't trade him. The Jets want quality not quantity and especially not Ghost, spare parts, "B" prospects and draft picks.

If you would take that one sided, pro- Philly deal you don't have any idea what's a fair trade. THE JETS WON"T BE TRADING LAINE ANYTIME SOON.

The Jets would hang up quickly on that proposal.

Any deal with Philly starts with either Sanheim or Myers - or there is no deal!
