I was shocked by how many people were in the seats. Then Turner got his COVID positive result in the middle of the game, went back on the field to celebrate with the team

Yea that is shady. I think the league knew but if they would have announced it prior to the game they would have had to postpone the game and that would have cost them a lot of money. If that turns out to be spreader event now, going to look real bad.

Analytics is the dumbest thing out there. Snell was on fire and if continued, probably wins the game for Tampa. It cost them the world series

I was legitimately screaming at my TV when they pulled him. He gave up a 1 out single, his 2nd hit of the game and was pulled after throwing only about 70 pitches. Not to mention he had the top of the lineup coming up, who were a combined 0-6 with 6 strikeouts so far in the game. You have to let your ace pitch there. The Mets had a similar situation in 2015 when Matt Harvey argued with Terry Collins to stay in for the 9th. He immediately blew the game so it didn't work out but I would've been way angrier had they pulled him and a reliever blew the game. You have to live and die with your ace in games like that.

2014 World series, Bumgarner pitched a complete game in game 5 then came into game 7 which was 3 days later in the 5th inning and pitched the rest of the way. There's no way that happens now which is dumb.

off topic, but, I think they need to outlaw the shift in baseball, it's one of the things that make baseball so boring now

every lefty batter just tries to hit home runs now to hit over the shift, and the pitchers pitch too hard these days for guys to go to opposite field

so basically every at bat is a strikeout or a homerun
