I think Buffalo is a weird team. They don't have a great deal of up front depth, but with Eichel and Hall they have some great offensive pieces, and Skinner shouldn't have been as bad as he was. If Hall is closer to his Hart trophy year, the Sabres should be a threat. If Hall is closer to most of his other years, he'll get 15-20 goals and miss 15-20 games.

They added Staal, and even at 35, he's still skirting the inevitable cliff, running at nearly a point a game. If Thompson or Mittlestadt can take the next step, they could be good - it would at least make their top-9 formidable. On the back-end they have a pretty decent defense with Dahlin, McCabe, Ristolainen, Montour, Miller and Jokijarju.

I don't know if I have a ton of faith in Ullmark or Hutton for them, but it's not a bad team. Goaltending consistency might be their biggest weakness.

I don't like their D at all. The only one that's any good is Dahlin and defensively he's not overly great yet. So put that in in front of that goaltending, I can't see how they're any good. Just like last season.

I think they'll score some goals, more than last season, but not enough to overcome the D and G.

Man, I want fried chicken pretty bad now, but I want my own recipe fried chicken...

Chicken Legs, washed and pat dried

Make Egg Wash with 1 egg, 2 tbsp of hot banana pepper brine, 1 cup milk, 2 tbsp ranch dressing

Dredge in flour, coat in egg wash, cover in panko

Flash fry until light golden, then repeat dredge, egg wash, panko

Deep fry until caramel brown

Serve with butter buffalo dipping sauce

Dude mang, that looks great. But if you truly love fried chicken you gotta get a deep fryer and deep fry those (frank)ers in peanut oil.

I used to use Paula Deen's recipe. It was so good I had to get rid of the deep fryer because I was slowly killing myself.

I don't like their D at all. The only one that's any good is Dahlin and defensively he's not overly great yet. So put that in in front of that goaltending, I can't see how they're any good. Just like last season.

I think they'll score some goals, more than last season, but not enough to overcome the D and G.

Really? Risto is slow and prone to poor decisions, but he's big and mean. I'd rather him over Bogosian, for example. Miller, Montour and Jokijarju are decent 3-4 guys. Based on where everyone is in their career right now . . . I'd rather have Brodie & Muzzin over Miller & Montour, but Jokiharju is probably better than Holl or Dermott. The kid's 20 or 21. He's got potential. If you compare us to them, they have the better top pair because they have Dahlin; we probably have the better second pair because of Muzzin, and the 5/6 guys are maybe a wash.

Our goaltending and forward group is better though..

I don't know if Buffalo's defense is actually better.. Maybe Dahlin is the best of both groups, but Rielly is no slouch. The Leafs defense (assuming everyone commits to team defense) will be a lot better than last years.

I would rather have Rielly, Muzzin, Brodie, Sandin.

In Peel region, we just finished week 2 of the 4 week "pause" and cases are not dropping. How much is due to Thanksgiving, I don't know. Apparently, there was a lot of parties in Brampton.
In Mississauga, restaurants and bars are not being blamed, it is still being blamed on social gatherings outside of your "social bubble".

I haven't seen my mom in months.. It sucks, because I know she is at a higher risk.
