People need to figure out a mask on your chin is not wearing a mask. And a refresher on what six feet looks like.
And then there's the medieval poopheads who don't think it's real. Those people being thinned out is a sweet chocolate coating on this poop sundae.

I agree... How, or why organize an anti-mask rally?

Our goaltending and forward group is better though..
I don't know if Buffalo's defense is actually better.. Maybe Dahlin is the best of both groups, but Rielly is no slouch. The Leafs defense (assuming everyone commits to team defense) will be a lot better than last years.
I would rather have Rielly, Muzzin, Brodie, Sandin. - PatC80
Rielly, Muzzin, Brodie is a solid top 3.
Holl, Lehtonen, Dermott will battle it out for number 4.
3rd pair will be solid with all the options we have.
If the Leafs need to upgrade the number 4 spot they can at the TDL.
1 year potential rentals on D: Nameth, Gologoski, Demers, Hjarmasonn, Pateryn, Larrson
D with 2 years left: Risto, Murphy |

I'm not so much comparing us to them in terms of overall - the Leafs have a better forward group and better goaltending, yes. I was more just saying that I don't mind their D-corps. I think they have potential. If I do compare the D-for-D between us and them, I think Buffalo doesn't compare unfavourably.
Do I think Toronto's is better this year than last year? Yes, I absolutely do. You're including Sandin, though, when I think he is very unlikely to be a part of this year's top-6. So it's a bit unfair to include him in that regard.
I really like Rielly; but let's look at it this way - when Rielly was 19, he had 27 pts in 73 games. Dahlin, when he was 18, had 44pts. In a prorated season, Dahlin was on pace for 56pts last year as a 19 year old. Rielly has eclipsed that mark once - as a 24 year old.
I think Dahlin is significantly better than Rielly. And to repeat - I really like Rielly.

I agree, I think Dahlin is better than Rielly, but I do think Rielly is capable of putting up another 50+ point season.
Aside from Dahlin and Rielly, I think the Leafs have a better 6 man group than Buffalo.

Dahlin is really something else.
And yes, it's not so much about Toronto being better or worse, just that Buffalo will be better than last year as well.
I'm telling ya, no team (except Tampa) should feel completely safe in the Atlantic.
Except Detroit and Ottawa who should feel safe about being terrible. |

Much ado about nothing re: the Coyotes' 4th round pick.
I really hate the social media universe we live in today. - Atomic Wedgie
Four years ago, Miller admitted in an Ohio juvenile court to bullying the African-American classmate, who was tricked into licking a candy push pop that Miller and another boy had wiped in a bathroom urinal.
The police report also alleges Miller told the African-American classmate to "go pick cotton," and that "nobody wants your N-word lips" on another student's drink. The victim at the time had the mental capability of a 10-year-old, according to the family.

Really? Risto is slow and prone to poor decisions, but he's big and mean. I'd rather him over Bogosian, for example. Miller, Montour and Jokijarju are decent 3-4 guys. Based on where everyone is in their career right now . . . I'd rather have Brodie & Muzzin over Miller & Montour, but Jokiharju is probably better than Holl or Dermott. The kid's 20 or 21. He's got potential. If you compare us to them, they have the better top pair because they have Dahlin; we probably have the better second pair because of Muzzin, and the 5/6 guys are maybe a wash. - Monkeypunk
Ristolainen is awful. He's big, yeah, but he's less mean and more of a cheap shot coward. He'll act mean but rarely does anything when confronted. You can see the fear in his face every time. It's actually hilarious to me.
Is he better than Bogosian? Yeah, of course. But Bogosian is a #6 playing as a #6 getting paid like a #6. Ristolainen is a #4 playing as a #2 getting paid like a #1/#2. And he's gonna ask for more on his next contract.
Jokiharju is all right but still not overly good I don't think. Better than Holl, yeah, better than Dermott, maybe, but still meh to me.
The rest are ass in my opinion. |

He was 12. He could have grown up. People do things that they learn from and regret. Especially kids.
Hold him accountable for his actions as an adult, not his actions as a 12 year old. |

I wouldn't mind Risto on the Leafs as a partner for Muzzin, but yeah, he's not a top pairing guy.

I agree with this.
You don't have your career as an adult affected from what you did as a 12 year old. The educational system is a place for these kids to learn and discover important qualities about themselves.
How they got there shouldn't be open for the world to see. |

It's not worth arguing, I'll grant! I do recall wanting to pry Miller out Vegas. He certainly played like ass for the Sabres last year. I think at one point we all sort of liked Montour off of the Ducks, too. But he's also been ass for the Sabres.
So. I guess the real question is - how good would Dahlin be if wasn't being all assed up by the Sabres? |
