Meh. I don't think it's any different here than anywhere else. French Quebecers get that reputation because they are associated with French from France.

Like that SNL skit a few weeks back. To people outside, we are like French people from France but in America. There aren't a lot of similarities to be honest. They are our ancestors, be we evolved in different directions.

To be honest, I'm not mad about the skit, parts of it were funny.

but it really showed how Americans have no idea how it is here. Like having Montreal francophones TV anchors being obsessed by Drake. But it was made to make Americans laugh. That, I get.
