It certainly cannot be disproven. What a person bases their projections on is solid facts of the past and the lessons learned. Since each player is an individual, no comparable is an exact match and illness/injuries are mostly unpredictable.
You may be sad to learn based on our last argument...I’m working on a project to view my own subjective analysis in complete hindsight of the past cup contenders and cup winners with a star player focus. It will take me some weeks. If it changes anything for me in the “Hope” category, I’ll let you know. - NC Flyers Fan
Why would I be sad? I make my living doing data based analysis. I am delighted.
However, it is generally a good idea to make such projects, which are in the public domain, as public as possible. For the same reason we have open source software and pre-prints of journal articles. Often, we make mistakes or have subjective biases and the marketplace of public scrutiny corrects those mistakes.
Unless of course you are planning to make an app out of this and monetize it. In that case, please be secretive.
Does one of your variables have "time spent on a farm" as a measure?

Good, may you run far and fast. I view my data collection as ammo for when you undoubtedly return.

Can't return if you never leave. Remember he's leaving hockeybuzz! Or is it that he's going to be posting less.

You have to look at probabilities.
Otherwise, it will be prone to errors people here typically make - like pointing out Toronto or Edmonton as examples to why tanking/star based drafting does not work.
(Not all star based teams win, but post lock-out circa 2006 - all teams that win have at least one star (top 5 D or top 5 C or generational winger).
Anyway, I await your ammo with bated breath. |

Typical PT21 arrogance talking about people making errors while making one himself. Nobody in that conversation stated that tanking doesn't work. What is routinely stated is that tanking does not guarantee anything and a team like Edmonton is an example of that.

So far I’ve kept an open mind, however all the flaws to your premise, based on subjective value, I mentioned to you are really apparent in actually looking back at players. I will expand the view to capture a more accurate picture.
If I thought I was wrong, I would have been afraid to look. However, it’s not hard just tedious. |

It’s 2020, I try to give him the benefit of the doubt when those plans repeatedly fall thru.

Fair enough. You say all the right things here. I am eager to read about your analysis.
I don't usually read past blobs, so I am outta here. PM me if you post something seeking a response. |

To be technical, I never did say I will leave. The resident retard here keeps saying that because, well, he is who he is. The perfect mini-me of the President.
I did however say I would post less, which has been a promise brazenly broken.
Cheers. |

Sure you did! We all know it was just an attention seeking opportunity. We all also knew that it was complete BS.
The use of the word retard to insult someone is offensive and shows your true character. I would look inward if I was you because someone you label a retard, routinely calls you out for your hypocrisy and rhetoric on a daily basis. To the point where you are powerless in rebuttal. Your ego won't let you not post just as it won't let you not post your political rhetoric on thread as requested. |
