I draw the line at homophobic and racist comments. Though I don't think talking about the amount of women(or men) you have slept with, one shouldn't demean them, especially over the air.

Demko not Marky got into the VGK heads and took their mojo. So what's preventing him from being better next season? His time is now and he's got Holtby as a solid vet safety net. Goaltending looks pretty good not grim.

Agree that another move or 2 can be had by JB by season start. Though timing will dictate that based on Ferland/LE cap. They can waive everyone and run with a lean roster. But it doesn't create more then couple million not enough to bring in a Cernak or Hoffman to be a top upgrade. Why Ferland/LE need to be the big push to go in the era of flat cap no cap dump trades of bottom players.

I find it funny how people are so PC now that you can't even espouse an opinion about yourself without being told that you're not allowed to do that. If a woman wants to submit a slutty picture of herself, so what, I know many woman who love that type of attention, who am I to tell them how they are supposed to feel. It would be different if they didn't consent to it, but that's not the case.

REALISTICALLY what do you think JB could have done to benefit the in team short and long term?
Sign a 30 year goalie to a 6 year deal. Probably not good long term
Sign a 31 year old injury prone defender to a 4 year deal and then not be able to upgrade in a what looks like excellent trade for Schmidt.

Sign Toffoli to a great contract so there is even less cap space to "upgrade" something that didn't need upgrading. 2nd in net PP, 8th in GPG.

Signing a defender that is undersized because someone else got him for a decent contract. The defence didn't play well as a unit. Should they bring back the same 6 because others got them for decent deals? That's not even leaving room to upgrade.

On the defensive side, I would have liked to see Jim upgrade in Stecher with Tanev, and upgrade on Tanev with Schmidt. They could have had Tanev do for Joulevi what he’s done for Hughes. Anyway, it is what it is, two more years.

I just find it extremely funny that people will pick and choose what they want. You get a person that breaks this law but abides by another and they think someone else that is the opposite is wrong.

Changing gears in the new blog. NHL players are getting paid this weekend, so I'm breaking that down and wondering when their next cheques might come. Still very murky!

Wasn't that always the plan. Players were signed to guide the youth as they came and as more of the youth came in ready to play that a vet would be pushed out.

It's happened a few times now, it should be happening a bit more in time as a few more players will become more ready. Unfortunately, not all contracts of a vet will end exactly when a younger player is ready.

They will take a step back next season to make Benning think about the sh*tty contracts that some of the armchair GM's said would bite him in the ass down the road when cap space will be needed.
