Getting him out of the public eye, the school can still make tuition money off of him, and with no public to hold them accountable they don't have to put much into rehabbing him or whatever you would call it.
Does anyone here have any knowledge in how best to go about countering a settlement offer from an injury claim?(the party that is Liable is based out of CGY, so it has nothing to do with ICBC in this case). Trying to figure out how to counter the offer I was given to settle. - Retinalz

Sources say there has been no official decision on removing bodychecking from the OHL. There has been a number of discussions between the league and the provincial government. Talks and negotiations are ongoing.

Should be noted, that its intent is to stop the spread of covid19, not to eliminate body contact or checking from the game for any other reason.

Draeger is an idiot. Tweeting stuff like that without including the sole reason why they are eliminating body checking or body contact is just click bait. I imagine the NCAA and the CHL follow suite, and it will trickle down to all levels of hockey maybe outside the top levels.

id probably make an arguement that making kids un-learn how to check and re-learn how to play the game without checking is worse for their development than it would be to cancel the season entirely and just let them train and workout with whatever restrictions are currently in place.
