he skated over 17:00 in the regular season and 17:49 in the playoffs...he should be good for one more year...and, it could be a short season too...
however, they can hedge their bet by signing haula for third line center duties and move him up for a short time if needed - Michael Pachla
at least we don't have to worry about sobotka on the second line or wilson on the third line
we have to be better now |

I see your rationale but couldn’t disagree more. If your intention is to keep Hall and Eichel beyond this year and give the fan base some hope they have to win now. Winning now is putting the best players in the ice. Why sign Hall if you’re worried about Cozens getting his next contract at age 23 instead of 22 - turbo044

The bonus overage is already calculated against the cap on capfriendly, but the roster is short 2 players. That puts the effective space around 1.5m. That's minimal padding for injuries. Also, they'll have a couple million of bonuses to pay out again after the season, which aren't included. Safe to assume they don't want to roll much into next season. They are effectively at the cap. |

Very, very true.
Although I feel I have to point out that Wilson actually played on the 2nd line on ROR's left wing after Kane left.
Good times.

roll 3 lines and take advantage of the shortened season by having fresher legs for top line for the last half of the third period |

I believe we have something special in Cozens.
He will have many, many months to build out his frame...like he did last season when he hurt his wrist and worked on his lower body.
This offseason, now already longer than last season, and 2 - 3 months more, I suspect that kid will be significantly bigger / stronger.
Kirby Dach from the same draft class as Cozens rose through the ranks from
- 3RW to 3C
- 3C to 2C
Cozens has more physical development time to ascend the same way.
I get the cautionary thinking from the Mitts experience..but those two seem to be on two different planets dedication wise.
Fasten your seat belts folks...Cozens is on track to grab that 3C by 20 games in, and go for the 2C next season.
The limiting factor is our Coaching Staff...like they did pushing Skinner to 4th line TOI, and F'ing with Dahlin for half the season...those gents need to see it will be 2021, not 1967.
Take the restraints off Ralphie-boy! |

I'm guessing you've overcame some obstacles in life?
Nothing wrong with it... in most cases.
Should a rapist get a second chance to live next store to your sister? Should we let the internet mob decide?
2nd changes need to be earned not given. And certainly. Some people never earn a second chance.
Kid did this from 2nd -8th grade and possibly again was taunting him again in 10th grade? 6 -8 years worth.
No remorse, but GIVE, not let him earn that 2nd chance right?
But, cancel culture is what really gets you upset, not pissing on a lollipop and tricking someone handicapped into eating it.
Your the best mental ... - Boss34

I don't think there done, once teams are set with there Arb. deals, I still think Miller or Montour gets moved. And I still think they bring in another goalie. |

I also went to a preseason game in 2016 or 2017 where Girgensons played with ROR and Okposo. They made the other team's pre-season scrubs look like absolute garbage. I was sure that line was going to dominate the regular season with their heaviness |

Does this put Miller on the trade spotlight?
Who's the best guy to move to save space?

Probably miller. He was better than Montour last year but Ralph didn’t seem to like him for whatever reason.
Related: I’m not crazy about having mccabe 2LD but a team can’t acquire everything in one offseason |

Who can take on $? Or to re-phase, can anyone take on $?
I think we're talking hockey trades now. $ in = $ out.
