Bass looked good with 4 Xtra Pt chip shots within 30 yards.
It's his accuracy from 31+ yards that is the issue.
And let's be clear...
I want the young kid to succeed and have a solid kicker on-board for the next 5 - 10 years...
To do so however, he needs to I prove his accuracy from 31 - 50 yards. (31 - 40 especially)

He could always Tim Thomas, and goalies are typically the slowest to develop. Markstrom, Lehner, Bishop, Kuemper, Dubnyk, Greiss were all guys who took a while to become effective. I think he can be a good enough goalie to get these guys to the playoffs, but the team in front of him clearly needs to be more effective. Either be lockdown D like the Islanders, or be a mixed bag who can score more than 2.5 goals per game. And no one's as good as Barry Trotz, so, we signed Hall.
