Agree. Need a competent third party.
Fattony 2024 - Fattony1187
Don't need a competent 3rd party, need a competent candidate in one of the two parties.
Sure looks like Biden is almost a lock. If Biden catches up in PA the electoral votes might not even end up being that close.
Trump might end up losing this election due to his trash talk/actions about McCain. His mouth finally catches up to him.
Good thing is it looks like the Republicans will maintain majority in the senate, so Biden won't be able to get his tax hike passed. |

It interesting, just saw that
71% of Trump voters, voted for him...only 29% voted against Biden
50% of Biden Voters, voted Against Trump.
I'll leave it there. - IonSabres
So it's not really trumpers vs. Libtards?
You mean some people who have had zero interest in politics might vote agaisnt a guy they don't like? π€
Even if they have conservative views on some topics?
I'm not sure what your leaving here?

Not to piss anyone off, but I don't want Harris anywhere near the big chair. Especially after Biden's I Vote concert and Biden couldn't even remember who he was running against. - Buff36
Nobody cares.
Say it a few more times i guess. |

Central point is that Buden's platform failed miserably, but some voters put the likeability of the candidate as a priority versus what the policy would be...or better said the dislike of the candidate.
Not shocking...but they should be considered emotional, low information voters. |

It just seemed logical to me given how much of a stir mail-in voting was making back in April and May. There was no way in hell both sides were simultaneously going to be satisfied with the process in the first pass of counting. - buffalofan19
just came across this from cook political report:
"All told, Advertising Analytics reported that political campaigns and causes dropped $8.12 billion in TV ads so far this cycleβ $4.633 billion by Democrats on all levels, $2.606 million by Republicans, and $907 million by independents. Of the $2.948 billion spent on television by presidential campaigns, $2.163 billion came for Democratic candidates to $780 million for Republicans. Senate candidates spent $2 billion, $1.130 million spent by or for Democrats and $870 million by or for Republicans. Of the $1.105 billion spent on House advertising, the split was $649 million on the Democratic side, $500 million for Republicans."

I find it hilarious that you like to think that doesnt exist on the republican side. Even when pointed out eralier that the GOP controls those states where teh "election is being botched" you responded with wont change your mind that its the Dems fault. |

βA vote for him is support for racism and sexism...β
This statement is an oversimplified steaming pile of horsepoop. Itβs as accurate as saying anyone who voted for Biden is a police-hating anarchist, and a Commie sympathizer. - Ratsreign
I am no Trump fan, but as you said, it's such a simpleton take to paint any Trump supporter with a very broad brush that it makes the person sharing that take supremely easy to dismiss.
The amazing (or troubling) part is how many seemingly intelligent people have that simpleton take.
I would have thought people who deal in nuance would not be so overtly clueless. |

How many Trump voters last election voted for him because they liked him and how many voted for him because they hated Hillary?
Seems like a similar scenario here. |

for as idiotic as the dems can be, they actually called this...they were counting on a massive absentee vote against the incumbent...and it played out as planned |

It's interesting. I think he both turned off voters and got new ones. I think when all is said and done, we're going to see a net zero gain or loss.

the 2020 election is huge and can be discussed here...but we really need to keep it civil...otherwise the refs will come in and we'll be back to discussing girgensons and kahun, etc... |

Guy, you interpreted my response post incorrectly.
"Doesn't change my mind", as in I'll stand by my post of the 6 states have a process that is incompetent, regardless of who is in control...if it is damning on Republicans, so be it. If it is damning on the Democrats, so be it. I don't give a hoot who designed it and passed it into law. 6 of 50 states are F'd up.
Clear enough?
As for voting For or Against...My statement was in reaction to a news cast. If you don't like it, take it up with them. Jeez.
A wee bit sensitive there. |

she was put on the ticket for a reason--to grab as much as they could from the progressive wing of the party, as well as pull in more of the black vote (among other things)...
again, in such a tight race each side needed (still needs) every vote...it's stunning that the dems are still in this...normally they're in charlie brown mode |
