and those were my general thoughts as well...just trying to keep it on the perimeter while we await the results of this election...which has been fascinating in and of itself, at least for me |

trump and his hard-core base (probably in the neighborhood of 40-50 million strong) would make a viable third party were he to lose the election
just a thought - Michael Pachla
Another thought...Sanders and the Socialists should break away from the Dems. The DNC pretty much screwed him over for Hillary in ‘16, and took a propped up Biden over him this time. Then choosing Harris to assuage the “progressive” side of the Party pretty much eliminated the votes of a lot of “moderates” who may have still been on the fence. The Dems gotta get their poop together. They had four years to come up with a candidate to beat Trump, and this was the best they came up with. |

It has been fascinating, the mail in ballots could win this election, and how many Democrats do it that way. |

I meant it shouldn’t even have been close. Trump is such a polarizing figure. |

my buddy called them "dumbocrats" for a reason...however, in this election cycle (as well as the 2018 mid-terms) their strategy was exactly what was needed...which, imo, is astonishing considering how awful they've been for years |

imo, this is america...and it's been that way for a while, at least back to 2000...
2020 has turned out to be quite visionary as we look at who we are as a country |

Didn’t you say there was an asteroid within striking range around Election Day? Was sitting here contemplating the Earth being blown to smithereens and....hey there’s a band I haven’t thought of in ages, they had some cool tunes.

So we’re going to simplify things so all those who voted for re-election are just baseline racists? If you are on the left and are content to drop a label like racist or idiot to cover the 65-70 million voters on the right, you probably aren’t as bright as you think.
Yes, yes, it does go both ways. But seriously, we all like to think of ourselves as intelligent and well informed in our decisions; have the courtesy to believe the same of your fellow man - halo63

Not a big Smithereens fan, but the first comment in that vid is great: music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it. |

You also assumed my post was about the fairness...
Really, it was about the absurdity that this country will need to wait for possibly 9 days until we have an idea ... and then those get opened up for legal challenges.
It's 2020 for godsake... the friggin Roman's could figure it out better lol. |

I don’t have a horse in the race, but the Trump administration purposefully did this and didn’t allow early counts for this very purpose.
He’s also criticized the early mail in vote over the course of the past month and a half.
I think it means one of two things:
A) He knew that Biden was going to win already and wanted to give himself the only possible advantage to contest the election
B) He presumed he would still win but knew it would be too close for comfort and that people voting for him would do it in person. Therefore if he could suppress votes of those who did mail in or demand litigation (he’s already done so in Michigan) that he can squeak it out even if he did lose the electoral college votes.
That’s my 2 cents. |
