To be fair I don’t think it was obvious that there was something wrong with Kahun until after the Sabers didn’t retain him. If I were a sabres fan I would not have thought that trade was insignificant and thought we just got a long term middle six guy with some top 6 upside for an expiring contract and a fourth liner. - Victoro311
He also did pretty well the first few games for them getting like a goal and few apples in first 3 or 4 games I believe, no doubt this added to their enthusiasm. |

Yeah, we kept ERod, biatches! Who’s laughing now?!?! That’ll teach those Sabres fans a lesson. - Rinosaur
Plot twist: you really like ERod after the first few weeks of regular season.

I don't dislike ERod and I don't think he's a bad player. I dislike him as a third line option. It should have been either ERod, Jank or Lafferty, not all three IMO.

Kahun is signing in Edmonton.
Really not significant, it just makes me laugh when that Sabres fan trolled our boards about Buffalo/Pittsburgh's Sheary trade and yet Pittsburgh is the only one that retained any of the players. - SuperHenderson13
Kahun put up 206 points in 30 games playing with Drais in the u16 league over there while Drais put up 190 in 30, averaging a hatty a game. |

Kahun is a solid player and I expect him to do well wherever he goes. There's just obviously some kind of stink on him in regards to his personality. He's definitely a low-risk/high-reward player. He will probably be one of the best bargain players this off-season at that price. |

He’s a ~40 point player for under a mill. That’s as good as it gets lol |

Pretty much. Makes you wonder what the issue is when his two former teams could have signed him. Not to mention a team like the Pens who badly needs bargain players.

hahaha thats absolutely f'n bonkers stats.
With that kind of history and familiarity I'm surprised it took the Oil this long to sign him...of course, for all we know, he could of been trying to get more from them or other teams and waited.
