oh...

yeah I guess it's gonna take a while before mentalities change. pretty ironic though when you think alcohol has always been legal and socially accepted even if it can potentially bring quite a number of problems

- Pat1993

The biggest difference is, smoking remains pretty god damn bad for your lungs even if you do it once a week, while drinking a glass of wine is something your liver can handle just fine.

Then again, there are ways to consume marijuana that are less damagins to the lungs, like eating it or heating it without burning it.

This being said, I haven't bought legal weed since it came out (mostly by lack of interest or there was a line at the store and didn't feel like waiting in line), I'm not sure what the SQDC actually sells.

i don't like being in large crowds unless there's a stage with someone i like on it and drinking helps but smoking makes it almost normal for me. it's good for you!

oh I agree, I wasn't saying marijuana is 100% safe either.

but if I had to choose between two problems, i.e. being an alcoholic and being a pothead, I'd definitely go for the latter lol

so you find it's easier being in large crowds when you smoke? that's cool, I've often heard the opposite... personally it depends on the context, if I'm at a festival it's totally fine but if I went to a shopping mall when I'm high I'll most likely be super self-conscious about it

I think I can count on my hands the number of time I smoked. I don't like smoking but since it's legal now and there's other options was thinking about trying it out, feeling stressed out sometimes with all that's going out. My girlfriend is agaisnt it.

It was sure surprising how many people came out of the dope closet once it was legalized.

In a lot of cases I got that though. I have friends with professional designations that would lose them with a criminal charge so they didn't smoke. Once legal the road block went away they had freedom

Then again, statistics are showing that after a small raise in the first few months of legalizing, most people go back to what they were doing before it was legalized.

Because let's face it, if you wanted to smoke weed before, you could easily do it.
