I'm not anti abortion. I still think very late term abortions should only be done in extreme situations though...and it shouldn't be used as contraception. - BashCH
Agreed.
I have never been through it myself, but I doubt there are many abortions done with a shrug. I think most are a truly painful process. |

Of course, it's a woman's right to choose. Can't blame me for judging female doges that get late term abortion for poopty reasons though. - BashCH
I think the question is, at what point (term) is it considered murder?

My opinion is I own the meat that packs my bones and (frank) anybody who wants to tell me what I can or can't do with my own body. As such I have no opinion on what a woman chooses to do with hers, regardless of how the rest of it may make me or anybody else feel. People need to mind their own (frank)ing business and stay in their own lanes - Takemedrunkimhome
Exactly. |

I fully agree. Freedom goes both ways. You're free to judge anybody for anything within reason as to how you judge them (no threats, intimidation, violence etc). That's kinda my point. You're free to judge but the second somebody decides they have the right to take away somebody else's freedom because they deemed themselves to know better or because it's what the Flying Spaghetti Monster wants according to some multi thousand year old book of children's fables I take great issue with it. Freedom is for everybody or it's for nobody. I want my government to leave me alone and get out of my business, not try to interject itself further into my freedoms |

It's on both sides too in fairness. I had a conversation with family on the weekend, all of whom support Biden (including 2 who actually get to cast a vote). Every time you bring up even reasonable criticriticism of Biden they would do whataboutism about Trump. It's dishonest on both sides. It's become team sports, my team against yours, Habs v Leafs if you will. The difference is that sports fans are allowed to be irrational, it's part of being a sports fanatic, but if you can't be honest about your criticism of polticians on both sides then how can anybody expect to have a rational discussion of policy when we can't even agree on basic facts. Both Trump and Biden are massively flawed candidates but supporters on both sides prefer to lie, deflect or just put on their blinders. (frank) I hope we know quickly who wins just to end this poop without civil unrest - Takemedrunkimhome
agreed, voluntary blindness is never a good thing.
but could civil unrest be avoided if the results are given sooner?

With the mail-in votes, the official results could be given only a few days after the election.

I'd hope Anderson as it likely means things have gone positively for the Habs and according to plans. So I'll say Toffoli as he's a lock for 20 most years and I'm always a pessimist about the Habs |

I think civil unrest is more likely if people think the election is being stolen. (one way or the other) Quick results likely means one side won by enough margin it isn't up foe debate or challenge and I'd believe people would be more likely to accept defeat if that happens. But who knows? There's a powder keg there and I'm not sure who has the match or fuse |
