Just to clarify, are you calling Bill Meltzer a loser? Or MJL?
The perpetual battle over posting political stuff on HB has an interesting national echo
Some may have heard of the Hatch Act. Its from 1939. It essentially says that government employees may not take part in political (partisan) activities while on official duty. It is the reason that say, a clerk at a post office, may not greet you by saying - "make sure to vote tomorrow for the President/Challenger".
The reason for this is simple. Politics is restricted to the elections. After that, public institutions become part of public policy, not partisanship.
There have been zillions of such cases against the current administration (more than all before combined). In particular, agriculture secretary Perdue has already been fined before for a violation.
Nothing sums up the current regime better than this unprecedented (In 2 decades of working on such matters, my wife has never seen something like this) press release today:
Note: they are trying to get around the Hatch act by quoting an Op-Ed, not saying it themselves. But an Op Ed should not be quoted if it is partisan by a government agency. Will there be a complaint? For sure. Will they be fined? Of course. Do they care?
If you are seriously wondering this question, you probably also believe this is a political post.

Well, the day was starting off politics free.
What was the point of this post other than to drag yet another thread in to the abyss?

Was this all for my benefit? Now I see what you have against farmers!
Ran in a 10 k years ago and Kerr ran past me. Guys calves were bigger than my thighs. Can’t imagine having to defend and clear this dude from the slot.
